Thank you for the review. Based on other reviews, I think the UV filter is meant to be installed directly onto the lens itself without the magnetic adapter installed as it already has the magnet built in. I wish K&F would also make their X-series True Color CPL filter with magnetic like this K-series filter kit without the need of the adapter to add extra weight in the front of the lens as it does not have any color cast.
Oh! Not sure why this wasn’t pointed out to me before! I’ve just tried it and, yes, you can screw it in on its own and then use it to attach other filters. Now it all makes far more sense. My only concern would be the un-necessary stacking of filters if using a wide angle lens. Apart from that, you may as well leave the UV on if not just to protect the lens. Thank you so much for the feedback on that.
The UV filter has a thread that allows you to screw it onto the lens. It is also magnetic so the other filters can be used without removing it.
Yep… another viewer pointed this out to me 🤦♂️ My only concern would be using it with wide angle lenses. Apart from that it does make perfect sense. Thanks for the comment 👍
I am a user of these magnetic filters (btw. they are quite great) but I have the same problem with the K&F lenscap: The time I am saving with the speed I am able to change the filters, I am clearly losing otherwise, because I have always to remove the lens-hood to remove the lenscap!
