Thank you for very informative presentation. I did not know what to look for when go shopping for the hood. I am more confident now after watching the VDO.
its a RUclips glitch that caused it to be slightly out of synch, but re-uploading it with synched audio would delete all of the backlinks and shares the video has and since most of the time the Owner is not on Camera, we decided to just let it be.
This is not mentioned, but I assume that one also has to think about an outside air inlet, somewhere, to prevent the higher CFM fans from causing natural draft appliances, like water heaters, from back drafting?
My situation is a little different. I just recently had new cabinets installed....so the stove was moved a few inches aside because of the cabinet that was placed next it. The ceiling opening is NOT aiming straight to the center of the range. It aims straight to the left hand side burners. Is there a way to resolve this matter? or is there any chimney extension that is wide enough to cover that? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. PS: The opening was already there. My house is over 50 yrs old so previously there used to be an exhaust fan but was taken out before I purchased the house.
Very informative video for first time buyers. Highly recommend video!
