It seems they were both right..Jason about Sonny's mental illness & Emily about her making her own choices..very cool that he loves her that much, even though she's adopted..

I know a lot of people throught Jason was wrong in the way he treated Emily/Sonny but Jason was there when Lily was killed and Sonny flip out. Jason was there when Brenda had mental brake down. And Carly, mental brake down, shot in the head,etc So Jason know what talking about. Before Jason didnt know any better but now he does and he doesnt want that for his little sister who has always been protective of even over Sonny and that saying somthing.
@@JamesBrady-qc6zy jason may have not hurt courtney the same way sonny hurt Emily but both jason and sonny tried to push Emily and courtney away for there own good and neither one of them wanted to do it the only reason they did was because the other asked them to but they ended up staying with both Emily and courtney anyway at least for a while and they both ended up married to the others sister
Jason hurt courtney a few times like the first time he broke up with her because sonny made and the second time he broke up with her when they got divorced
@@amygeegan-tx6eq you right, sonny did force Jason to break up with Courtney for her safety, but Jason force sonny to break up with Emily but he refuses. And secondly Jason divorce Courtney because she stop him for killing Lorenzo alcazar. ( until he finally kill him in 2007 ).
Jason has no credability people warned Jason about Sonny he never listened so Emily should do what she wants to no matter what Jason thinks or feels its her life he made his choices she gets to make hers

You don't have to be best friends with someone to to give potential life saving advice. im not wrong Emily is dead and Jason would have been as well had they not brought him back. And even if you were correct which you aren't it still Emily's life not Jason's.
@Regina Latson I believe Emily was murdered by a mob rival of Sonny and Jason perhaps her being his sister wasn't the reason she was but it happenened all the same and im sure Anthony knew who she was.....Jason even said it was in part because of him.
Well, Emily WAS wrong. She did get over Sonny and went back to Nikko. Sonny can't be happy with a woman...its not in him. The producers should have stayed with what Jason told Emily - should have continued to focus on the fact that Sonny had emotional issues that kept him from ever being happy. Instead, Phelps and Guza tried to make the Q's the bad guys and Sonny the hero. That never worked. They should have explored mental illness - that would have been interesting.
I do understand Jason's position though, he has seen every woman Sonny's been with and the tole its taken on them. Carly was the only one left standing and could take it. But it still did its damage to her.
But her getting back with Nikolas didn't last very long either he started having blackout hit Emily and got her killed because he couldn't protect her from himself or alcazar

Emily isn't his blood family she was adopted after her mother died

Wow! This storyline brought out Jason's real feelings about Sonny.
Everything Jason said was totally right. Jason has seen firsthand all of Sonny's relationships and the damage Sonny can do.
