An excellent and well researched presentation from Miss Anuradha Naik. Feeling proud to be a Hyderabadi.Learned 120 years history of Hyderabad in just over 16 minutes.
Anuradhaji, you just gave me a tour of my own city through your mind and eyes and I started loving Hydrabad even more. Thanks for sharing your brilliance.
Mallepally has not only produced top football players but doctors, engineers & architects too. I am living in Chicago for last 33 years but I still miss my neighborhood & playgrounds of Mallepally. From humble beginning in Zafer Shah ground to Raheem League to Nizam Gold Cup, Rovers Cup of Bombay & representing Osmania University Football team for 4 years. Anuradha is right to give credit to those master planners for designing those C.I.B homes with playgrounds, school, markets & hospital. When I visited Hyderabad last time i was sad to see Zafer Shah ground almost deserted except one boy busy talking on his cell phone.
This was hugely informative for me; I first visited Hyderabad as a child in 1958 and loved the city and am now returning in 2019 - I had returned in 2005 but fleetingly and this time I will be there for some days. It will be a real pleasure to be back but this information is awesome - so far ahead in town planning and conservation, wish it was happening like this today.
That was superb! 👏👏👏 It is such a shame that this part of Hyderabad's history is not taught in our schools - children could be taken on history tours after each lesson as everything is reachable and this would provide for a keener insight and understanding as to why things were built the way they were back then - the fact that these developments were made with a greater understanding of the importance of the quality of life for all concerned - it was all about improving and bettering the lives of the inhabitants of Hyderabad. Perhaps these lessons in schools could have resulted in a school of building professionals who would build with greater contentiousness who would build with greater consciousness - always complimenting the fabric of the locality and keeping in mind the big picture. After all no man is an island. Thank you so much for that terrific insight into that part of the rich history of Hyderabad.
Wonderful research work hat's off to Anuradha ji .proud to be a Hyderabadi. Dr.sudhir naik and satish naik love hyd. and believe in the ganga jamini tayzeeb.Nice to know you. Sajid Ahmed
May i appeal to you, Ms.Anuradha, to reconsider shifting the Secretariat to bison polo grounds. The open grounds produce cricketers, footballers, tennis players, hockey players and other sports. The open grounds are used by the NCC. The grounds themselves are huge water sinks for Secunderabad. Please reconsider
Why are you appealing to her to reconsider. Is she the competent authority to take a decision. Please do not make a chai ki chamchi into a serving spoon.
Good work madam, though not that perfect in quality. While mentioning Mallepally you have missed mentioning one famous sportsman Arjuna awardee volleyball player Abdul Basith who was part of the bronze medal winning Indian team at 1986 Seoul Asian games. Some of the Mallepally play grounds have volleyball courts, Abdul Basith was nurtured there.
Very good presentation, from the Architectural and planning side. Actually , the projected planning regions and localities were named differently,Mallapally existing even today is actually is just name use wrongly,is just a fragment of the very large area , is the name of the village, comprising masab tank, Humayun Nagar, Vijaya Nagar, asif nagar, and adjacent areas, the names, given to these planned and systematic eco-friendly, colonies, which is discussed and presented, by the CIB is Moazzam Pura,a small settlement of Mallapally village, named after the Prince Moazzam Jab, the younger son of the Nizam HEH Mir Osman Ali Khan, the the other areas areas planned and inhabited with the above mentioned colonies and contemporary to this is Azam Pura, named after Prince Azam Jab Bahadur, also known as Prince of Berar, the eldest son of the Nizam, near Chaderghat bridge,in Malakpet,in the eastern side of the city,. apart from Khairatabad, Narayan guda, Secunderabad,Balsetty khet, near Dabeerpura , etc,. the planning is marvellous keeping all the planning and environmental factors in view, the aerial view or bird's view is worth seeing, with perfect projection of geometrical presentation and division,. nowadays is available on the Google. I'm proud to be An Hyderabadi, and at present staying in the same locations mentioned in the presentation, and above all I'm well aquainted with almost all the players of these that is being of Melbourne Olympics, personally as a fraternity from sports,as an a player, Sportsperson, Coach and Administrator.please present some presentation in Hyderabad with Hyderabad's prominent people, with interactions,to expand the knowledge, with facts.
