The canal, which is 1,794 kilometers long with over 2,500 years, starts in Beijing in the north and ends in #Hangzhou in the south, running through Tianjin Municipality and then Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang provinces along the way. The emperor who launched this canal project, emperor Sui Yang Di, was overthrown by people when the canal construction had finished. Because he enforced too great project that people could not endure. The following dynasty went properous from benefit of the great canal instead.

I think Sui was overthrown because the useless spending in Goguryeo. When the Grand Canal began to be built China was actually very prosperous because of Sui Wen Di. Things would deteriorate very quickly some years later because the wars in Goguryeo.

To all who doesn't know. Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty was the one who built The Grand Canal of China. Emperor Wen whose birth name was Yang Jian came from the Han Chinese family. His father was the descent of the Yang Zhen who served as a general of the Han dynasty. Just like his ancestors from the Han, emperor Wen wanted to bring back the glory of ancient Chinese people.

Have known about this canal when I was kid watching old HK period movies/tv dramas Movies studios constructed replicas of a typical Grand Canal ancient town with its arch bridge that would be used for any such ancient town scenes in their period dramas.

I would rather suggest you, try to enjoy a TV production called Aerial Japan in order to seek for new Grand Canal projects to share. Venice transports on boat might give you the proper picture, a water channel worths gold, no matter Amsterdam or Las Vegas, every city on this planet deserves such a treasure. Having projects to share no war hostilities could keep you apart, think about it. No matter how many more weapons get stored under your windows or making you feel humiliated, some day we find the solution to neutralize any bomb threat, you see, l do believe, only getting busy getting involved in smart projects to save the planet is the salvation for all of us...they say, Devil never sleeps finding always losers to be fooled for the worst reasons, if we have to deal with this threat, let's deal with it, we can make it, we can find...neutralizing solutions, put them evil intentions under control...both sides

Now that we have the honor and pleasure to watch TV entertainment on line together, like supporter at the stadium sharing opinions about you as champions on the battle field, wish you realize how ancient these Chinese traditions are, maybe even more ancient than the CHIN dinasty that started to unite the various Chinese tribes...they say, thanks the Silk Road they brought to Europe the trick of this Grand Canal infrastructure...and from my behalf is still a genius solution, l trully wish every city having a Gran canal , using boats to move from a side of a city to the other one, it might become the best solution to dismantle crowded traffic and harsh pollution. Think about it. I trully wish them Chinese people get busy on world wide partnerships having no time for war disputes, do not let anyone provoke you because you see, evil never sleeps. Evil is like a cancer threat, is the anti materia, the black hole eating us all. We have to defend life instead, let's stay on the positive side instead of believing, we need new wars to eliminate people in order to.. carry on some kind of purification, let our Planet decide on certain things Ok?

We hold by now historycal evidences, much more before the Marco Polo story, you see, when someone is eager to put thoughts on paper and save the memory, testify events, we all know by now the legend of the Silk Road how many merchants made a fortune having Far East partners and taking inspirations, being infatuated of Chinese inspirations could bring us luck again, making smart investiments in strategic infrastructures such as Grand Canal transports...climate change is asking us seeking for solutions...until we succeed to invert this global warming trend, let's enjoy building a better humankind together and put behind hostilities Ok? I hate wars guys, l hate those who believe, murdering innocent people is the solution. This Covid global apocalypse disaster should help you understand things beyond the terrible pandemic threat, becoming partners in business it's much safer that the Putin's madness idea to occupy a land, he will never succeed to bring his beloved Crimea in the grave next to him. Russia survived Stalin that murdered 30 milion political rivals and activists he considered his enemies and then..he died. We should learn from these experiences of life friends, what unites us for eternity such as smart infrastructures...no wars could ever keep us apart anymore

We know how Europeans were tied to the Far East partnerships since Marco Polo ages because finally were books and documents to talk about it, but we know, the Silk Road commercial way was working from centuries before. If you try to accept the humankind as it is, that our strength and power rely on this precise thing, of how we are different, this fascist approach must vanish, if we put on cowboys outfit we are American addicted...this is not true Ok? I can put on my grand parents outfit of Transilvanian peasants, the beauty of the human nature is that we are so colorful like flowers and if we feel happy treated as flowers... let's enjoy the Holy Creation decision upon our heads because much better. There are things about the fascist obsession much deeper than you think. Hitler was forced to stay in jail, he had time to think about his maleficent plan, that goes much more beyond that it seems
