STEPS \\ ZEBRA's algorithm cleverly controls energy flows

On construction sites, electrification is increasing, and to reduce the use of diesel generators, mobile batteries play an important role. But, how do you make sure these batteries are fully charged when needed with a smart charging docking station? And how do you coordinate this with local renewable energy generators, such as solar panels? Within the STEPS project, ZEBRA is looking into this question!
The first results are already in! Indeed, for this project ZEBRA has expanded its algorithms and explored new possibilities. For instance, we have achieved promising results with a concept called "linear programming". This allows us to optimally schedule the charging of multiple batteries into a predicted generation profile.
STEPS is a project within the Interreg North-West Europe programme. Interreg North-West Europe programme falls under the European Cohesion Policy and is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
