SEBI does not recognise CFP. Clearing Investment Advisor module with registration is copulsory. So no use of CFP except a fancy certificate.

CA, CFA are the best options if one wants to go into equity analysis, investment banking, research. If you want to be in sales, an individual advisory then SEBI Investment Advisor and
NISM & CRISIL Certified Wealth Manager are good.

No, as long as you are not formally employed by an organization it would be hard to justify your employment.
At the same time, this can act as a profile booster for you.

Wow, so in depth and well explained. Thank you for this. I have some doubt regarding work experience if some one could help me with it it would be great. I went through their website but couldn't get a proper answer. I am an MBA and working in a micro finance sector in business development department so naturally I am not having relavnt work experience. I was thinking to pursue CFP to start self practice as a side hustle as I do enjoy leaning about finances, planning and researching schemes. Should I go for it? How will I get work experience to show as clearly CFP jobs would pay a lot lesser than what I am earning right now so no point of leaving my job and going into CFP job. So the last option is to work under a CFP. Are these people flexible enough take an apprentice for one year?
