@@DoURC haha I know how that goes! How often do you do a deep clean after mudding like that?

@@jarodcash I hose them down, dry them and recoat in something protective like GT85 after each run. Then when something needs changing like bearings etc, I do them all and re-do the grease in the diffs. When I service my rc's, I use white marine grease and I put some around the bearings and inside the axle housing to try and help. But tbh it only lasts so long. The way I see it, those things are like brake pads etc on a real car, replaceable items. Mudding does break stuff unfortunately, I've broken driveshafts, axles, motors etc. But that's the price you pay for having fun I guess! 🤣

@@DoURC haha yeah, usually breaking something if having fun! I have a kraton sitting on my table with a bent chassis 😑😅. I use simple green, hose down, then spray down with wd-40 or a protective coat too. Only been real mudding with defender once

@@jarodcash 🤣 Oh dear on the Kraton! Chassis is bent on my Outcast too! Outcast spends most it's play time in mud or water now! Don't do much traditional bashing tbh!

You can modify anything if you want to. 👍
It's pretty decent and fairly capable too, plus it's cheap. Just take the ftx/rgt cheaper models with a pinch of salt, as they're generally not the toughest, but parts are cheap to replace. It's taken a fair bit of abuse so far though to be fair. 👍

The Jimny is the FTX/RGT one. It's completely stock except for wheels and tyres. 👍

I think it more depends on how they're built and internals really. Portals have the advantage of extra ground clearance but aren't as scale as straight axles. I personally prefer portals. 👍

Hi, yeah it's pretty good. Stock tyres aren't great and obviously being cheaper, it has its quirks. Other than the output shaft screw coming loose, we haven't had any issues with it. If you're in the US, I'd recommend a Redcat Gen8 v2 over it by far. I'm in the UK and was lucky enough to get a Gen8 v2 second hand and honestly it's awesome. Much better than the RGT/FTX stuff. 👍
