Don’t miss Season 10 Episode 4 (Too Old To Rap?) featuring Manchester’s Legendary first gangster rapper ‘Captin Manny’ out on Sunday at 2pm. We’ve been waiting to give him his well deserved flowers for ages but timing is everything and he was still locked up when we started the show. 0161 is definitely in the building for this one so Manny stand up!
Captin’s story is extremely eventful and capable of being made into a movie! He talked us through his life story so far; from his father being murdered when he was just 18 months old, to himself later on being convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison with a 22 year minimum; the judge having knocked off 8 years for good character. We learned the circumstances of the case and that he was pleading self defence. Someone was shot dead. RIP. He told us how that felt and how it felt to then win his appeal and have the murder charge acquitted and get sentenced for manslaughter instead. Eventually landing road to only end up back in on a lengthy sentence for drugs, we also learned about his music journey which started from jungle days. A ‘Why Free Zone’ was requested and Spray complied as much as possible!😅
We then put Capo through his ‘RTM Fire Round’ before getting into some ‘Current Affairs’. We had a break for ‘RTM Banter’ at some point and the main subject was “Too Old To Rap?”
The ‘RTM Dilemma’ and ‘Book Suggestion’ closed the show as usual, along with some RIP’s & 3’s. We added a new section where we scroll through some of the previous show’s comments and reply back to a few of them. This section is aptly named “RTM Comments.”

@@srsselfreflectionservice the jokes in the pod are needed but when your guest is touching on serious topics he should be encouraging and fostering intellectual discussion, he does sometimes do that but in this podcast I’ve noticed he’s been out of his depth

At some point I did mention my views regarding drug dealing being a victimless crime did actually change. I did intend to elaborate on that but as you can see the flow of the interview was very turbulent to say the least. But i fully agree with your comment 💯.

I can't agree with the brother about the drugs thing. As its supply and demand. If there's no supply there's no demand. Cut off the roots to evil, there's no excuse in selling things that harm society, whether the next person consents or not. Do agree though that the laws of the country are hypocritical because alcohol should also be banned because it harms society. They are only bothered about having the monopoly on all commodities.
