Oh this is heaven! Haven't heard this recording in over 30 years and it hasn't aged a bit. Just love it. I just love the purity of Suk's playing. There may be others with more flourish etc, but his fits the tone perfectly. Bliss.
Suk's approach, as in his earlier Supraphon recording with Konwitschny, is measured and dignified and his playing is very eloquent. If you like a slowish reading of the first movement, this is very good indeed, and in terms of orchestral balance and the grading of climaxes, this is one of the best orchestral accounts I'm aware of (I have 22 recordings of this concerto .......). Anyway, it all adds up to very distinguished reading.
Потрясающий скрипачь. Светлая ему память.

I grew up with this recording, still have the LP, but not the equipment to play it on. Thank you.

Great find. I knew it had to be somewhere.
Recorded in September 1970, with the wonderful cadenza by Váša Příhoda.
Thanks you music 🎵🎵
Is it from D-Dur op. 61?
A dramatical history ...🎶🎵
Oh, this is hell! Playing with distortion all through. ASD 2667 is not an expensive title, it shouldn't be hard to find a better copy either.
Not hard to find a better copy? Well find one then and upload it. Or does your mother have to do it for you?
The distortion comes from your troubled troll mind.
