glenn i have a 351w foxbody with turbo and terminator x ecu also with MSD BOX also and TFI ignition iam waiting to see what you found out to what the problem is, cant believe i found somebody with the EXACT EXACT SAME PROBLEM wow please messege me glenn please so i know what to do thanks bud awsome COBRA MAN WOOOOOW.
TM, Your setup is different than what I'm running. I run a HP Terminator setup with Dual Sync distributor. My issue was the engine just cutting off (ignition) then coming back to life within seconds. Sometimes it would be fine for weeks, then rear it's ugly head. Diagnosing the problem was the hard part. The Terminator X is similar when running a TFI w/CD box, the "white" wire is triggering the CD box and shouldn't be tied to the tach wire UNLESS you are NOT running a CD box. I also supply my 12v. power to the DS direct from the HP box with a clean signal. That was not my problem. The DS was failing. I put my RTR MSD distributor in to test and the system is fine. The DS went in for repair and they did find a bad module. I'm in the process of re-installing the DS and will show what the System File sees when the signal dropped. Hope to have a new "Part 2" later this week. Thanks for watching. Made to help others. Glenn
@@glenndiorio8967 I see what your saying the Holley software is the same for ignition parameters in the hp,dominator, terminator x I know other people having same issue but they went to fuel tech instead and dropped Holley iam curious to see when you put the dual sync back in if it fixes the problem thanks for getting back Glenn so appreciate it brother
When you were troubleshooting this, did you disable the cam sync and try it in untimed sequential, batch, or paired? I did and the car fired right back up. It's a good thing to do, if it fires it pretty much gaurantees you it's an issue with the dual sync.
No, this is a Terminator not MPFI setup. I don't have that option when choosing TBI for Injection Type. The car would just die then come to life again. When it got more consistent I would have to restart it to keep going. The System Log proved it all in the end.
O my gosh bro I had the exact same problem I was driving and the car just shuts off like somebody cut power to the car and when I cycle the key back to off and then on the car fires right up and it does this every so often , drives me crazy did you find out what the problem is yet brother, this seems like a Holley problem with software or something.
