The better good ending was jimmy never got hired by pony express. Curly would have had an easier time breaking it to the team that the rig was going auto, possibly even standing up for them and quitting Anya would have not been abused, left pony and maybe had a chancd to go into med after she got paid for the shipment. Swansea could have effectively retired, and possibly taken Daisuke and taught him more engineering helping the young man get a good job planetside or something. Hell its even a good ending for pony express, because imagine how hard they'd have had to lawyer up for a fiasco like in the game.

She might've even been able to kill Swansea before he took the axe to Daisuke and try to extend his life, but yeah, it was a hopeless situation for everyone
