Taffy was easily the best character in the film. They could've easily done the usual stereotype of the step-sibling being antagonistic towards the protagonist. But they actually do the exact opposite where Taffy is an absolute sweetheart who is very supportive of Lisa, is always there for her, wants to be best friends with her, and wants her to feel welcomed into the family. That was such a refreshing change of pace.
Considering how terrible her dad was at showing he cared, I think she probably wouldn't have been talking at all at the beginning of the movie if not for Taffy.
Well actually Taffy made me feel really conflicted because on one hand she is a jolly sweetheart, on the other hand she was unbearably insensitive and conceited, she told her friends about what happened to Lisa’s mom even though she promised her she wouldn’t tell anyone which led to their classmates making up that Lisa was the one who killed her mother, she also seemed to think that Lisa’s trauma was instantly solved because her father married again and now she had a “new mother”, there were moments when I felt sorry for Taffy but it was all gone when she said “you don’t have to worry about anything because your mom has already been murdered!”
I do not know if it's just me or anybody else thought about this here, this does kind of give me 1980 vibes. Don't know if it's because of the music or maybe the clothing or the details that's right here in the movie or what. All I know this looks very interesting and it looks like great plus it could be a wonderful movie as well. I am going to be buying this as soon as it's released onto dvd

The only mistake Taffy made was sleep with Lisa's crush. They could've made Taffy act like her mom, but she didn't.
