I travel Japan for 3 months last year (didn't see that many places due to being short on cash but I wanted to get a feeling how was life in Japan "for real"). And I'm at it again this year but this time, studying in a language school.
So yeah, I agree with all your points, but most notably :
    1) The views. Currently I'm in the middle of Toyko so it's mostly ugly grey buildings everywhere, but there are still many parks and shrines to make me feel better. But what I love the most is definitely the countryside.
I don't want to start a fight about which of your Norwegian mountains or my Swiss mountains are the best, what I'm sure about is that being able to live with big mountains in sight (and easily accessible whenever you have money/free time) is definitely a perk.
    2) The food and drinks, of course. I don't need to explain why.
    3) Safety. Coming from Switzerland which is also a really safe country, I still don't feel comfortable walking in my city at night (same as yours, lots of shady drug dealers or piss drunk people etc) while in Japan I never had this feeling.
    4) Last but not least the people. I have many mental health issues, like social anxiety or idk what else, when I'm at home I'm almost never going outside because I'm feeling bad around other people etc. But in Japan, even though Tokyo is way too crowded for my taste I still manage to live a relatively normal life, just because people are all doing their best to be quiet and not bother others.
And in the rare occurrences when I meet annoying people, they're foreigners in 99% of cases (mostly Chinese or American, not being racist, just stating my observations)
So yeah I'd love to find a way to live there someday.
    Thanks for the video =)

Another great vid! I really appreciated your advice for my first trip to Japan a month or two ago - and now I'm busting to get back there and follow up on more of your suggestions! BTW - it is much cheaper, better run and far more respectful than here in Australia.

We're not long back from our first time in Japan and we're seriously looking into moving there in a couple of years (money and visas, the usual!) as it all just feels rubbish (use the swear word, multiple times for the same effect 😂).
The safety aspect was a big plus for us, we felt comfortable even letting our nearly 10 (at the time, now 10) year old daughter go out of the hotel, across the road to the vending machine and back, without a worry! And she felt safe too. Something that we can't even think of here in Scotland. Not obviously the only reason 😂 but after seeing a child about 5 on the busy Yamanote train himself I was like "whaaaat".
    Also, food 😂
Great content as usual, you are one of my favourite Japan content creators as I find you refreshing 😁

It's incredible! I was also shocked when I saw 5-6 year old being independent and safe enough to travel by themselves! Would never happen in Europe!
Thanks for your kind words! Hope you get to move here in a couple years 🍻

@@JustAnotherJapanChannel It definitely gave my daughter a bit of a shock too! We just want to give her the best life possible that we can and Japan would open a lot of doors, independence and self discovery for not only her but us 30 something's 😂
Thank you! It has consumed me this last month, it'll be damned if I don't make it happen (literally, Scotland is crap and cold 😂😭)
Again thanks for the great content! You keep me motivated 😁

Bought so many nostalgia fueled items when we traveled last year (like Neon Genesis Evangelion figures from the 90s at Nakano Broadway), it can't be helped 😂

Thank you! Yeah, I've had many run ins with moron teenagers in Norway who blast music and harass people who tell them to turn it down lol. Hate it, and I'm so glad I avoid it in Japan!

Looks like we have the exact same age as we almost did the same things. I had my Gameboy Color (kiwi color) but with the proper game... Pokemon Yellow as I needed that bad boy for the amazing Pokemon Stadium and Transfer Pak and, yes... Dragon Ball blew my mind as well. Oh, and I'm enjoying the whole Tokyo shtposting

I recovered my original N64 from my Mom's house. Now I have some amazing bluetooth dongles (that look exactly like the N64 controller plug) that works with the Nintendo Switch N64 bluetooth controller, 2 Transfer Paks (one is Japanese with the original box). My beautiful Pokemon Stadium 2 and my beautiful Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Yellow. I love playing that beauty.

Nice video dude, love how you can just be yourself and just admit that you're a fat white weeb and have an obsession for Japan. Its the same for me, minus the fat, but yeah, I'm pretty excited to go to Japan for a month in March. I'll be mainly going to the countryside
