Imo shrinking violet is an S tier insta because of a few things:
1. It's plant food. Shrinking the whole lawn is very powerful makes it 2 times easier to kill the zombies on it (literally)
2. It's one of the best counters to gargs. It also kills the imp on their backs.
3. It's 3x3 radius. If you can use it in the right place, you basically kill 9 tiles of zombies.

Combine shrinking violet pf with draftodil and you instakill every zombie

I don't get it why Buzz Button is just terrible, sure once we've reach like a certain level plant, it became versatile, although I find myself rather use different plant like imp pear, rather than just tickles the zombie

I think at level one, he is a bad version of electricitea(he dies with plant food)
Most plants when leveled enough become at very least viable.

XD Shame you can only really see the raw power in Penny's pursuit mostly where the zombies are powerful enough to make leveled up plants necessary, but that does factor in if Seediums are as good or not since they're harder to farm if their event isn't active.
@@MarioMastar I wish they would ad a 4 pepper difficulty, because 3 pepper is too easy with high level plants.

You didn’t even mention Doom-shroom in this game as it’s added as a semi-insta to be much better than Explode-o-vine.

You need to power it so unless you decide to put your sun producer in front of the lawn it wouldn't get much value, and it kills quite quick so i reckon it doesn't have time to spread too much

I can hear that calamity music during the impear section. Wish it was a little louder tbh. Also I feel like imitater would be an instant plant, as it has an instant effect when placed instead of waiting for a zombie to get close.
I used to make the music way too loud in some older videos, so I really make sure it's not too loud nowadays. But I will keep that in mind, if the soundtrack is a banger. Maybe I will turn it up a bit.

A little thing with Sun Bean is that you can actually have a zombie eat multiple Sun Beans to "stack" Sun Bean, because each Sun Bean on a zombie produces sun independently, and it's a way to bypass the upper limit of how much a Sun Beaned zombie can produce- 300 sun at level 1. It's a great way to gain more value out of a single zombie, and that's how I was able to cheese Dark Ages - Day 14 and other "produce X sun" levels.

Gumnut deserves S tier. It’s basically turns every zombie in an aoe into a tall nut and counters every special zombie.
I had some people in my discord say it is S tier and some people say it was not. My original placement was B tier, then I moved it to S tier, then it got moved again to A tier. That is where it ended up being ranked.
@@DJ_Wolfy5 popular opinion isn’t always correct.
An aoe stall insta that can effectively stop an entire lane permanently with zero exceptions is extremely strong.
@@DJ_Wolfy5 It may be because while it can perma stall a garg, that's all it does as it doesn't do damage nor have some kind of aoe effect that really brings it to S tier. Though in Arena, being able to stop zombies gives you more points which is nice, but you want to kill zombies as quickly as possible, not stall them for any reason. So I think A is fair. The other plants break Arena mode.

I agree with most of the ranks here. Some things I would have personally changed are inverting Squash and lava guava, move shrinking violet in S tier and putting eletrici-tea to the top of B tier. By the way I really think that reducing the sun cost of hypno shroom to something like 75 would really improve the plant.
If hypno was 75 sun it would be a lot better. I agree with your changes to the rankings and see what you mean.
With the aqua vine coming out so tangle kelp might get more love and more OP

For me, I love solar sage especially in higher lvls, it's satisfying to use on lanes filled with zombies cus it's like a domino effect it's also so good for sun :O
That Hypno Shroom made me trippy
The sun bean can also stack, which means on “produce X amount of sun” levels, you can just stall one zombie at the end and force feed it sun beans, which can give you hundreds or thousands of sun from one zombie
Or just stall with sun production
Did you know that sea kelp can stun the shark boss? It only happens when the shark is vacuuming plants. This is good when you dont want to lose your entire lane of plants
Electrici Tea does similar things to Buzz Button but stronger, when eaten it strikes zombies immediately with almost 1000 damages, that's why I love Electrici Tea

Yeah, the insta rankings are complete. (besides like 2 or 3 plants people pointed out I missed)
At higher levels, Iceberg Lettuce can freeze multiple tiles (1x1, 1x3 and at high levels, a 3X3 RADIUS, WHICH IS INSANE), not only that, at high levels it also slows the zombies after they thaw out. It even freezes them for LONG enough that you can plant it again WHILE the zombie is frozen, basically giving it an infinite loop.
Stunion at higher levels POISONS zombies as well, which is really useful, especially at later levels, or with plant food, but i dont know if it increases stun range/tiles.
Stallia knocks backs zombies at higher levels (i think), which can be very useful, a 3x3 knockback is very nice.
Also, Iceberg Lettuce suffers a weakness that Stallia and Stunion do not. Iceberg Lettuce cant be used well with fire plants, because the fire plants (Snapdragon, Torchwood, Flame Peas, Inferno...) will melt the zombies, making them not frozen anymore, which is a weakness that Stallia and Stunion DO NOT have.
Yeah when leveled all 3 of the stallers become insane. Stallia knockback is nuts, iceberg splash is really good, and the poison from stunion is nice.
@@DJ_Wolfy5 Yeah. So it mostly comes to preference, and the plants you wish to use. If you want to use anything fire related (Pyre Vine, ANY torchwood strat etc..) then Iceberg is F tier, but if not, then its up in A or S tier, while Stunion and Stallia are good all around

Shrinking violet also slows and is one of the most consistent plants, also disabling a lot of annoying abilities that zombies may have.

Imo hypno shroom is A tier because it's 75 sun (75 in pvz1, and 3 sun in pvz2 essentially) which is a great deal for hypnotizing tanks
wait, primal potato mine technically 4x3 vertically, becouse for some reason primal potato mine can also damage 2 tile below it, making the blast radius is 4x3 vertically, the best way to used primal potato mine is plased it on the second or third lane from the top
If you use potato mine's plant food in a group of zombies, it instantly arms and blows up ALL of them in its range, and then makes more!

what abt torchwood (only when eaten alongside hot date), tumbleweed (like rhubarbian)hot date, escape root, grimrose(she is almost instant if if she was not plant foodable and moonflowers) (idk if these count but parsnip and guacodile because you lose them when something happens to them than getting eaten you lose guacodile cause he rushed down if he takes too much damge from zombies like jester or if they get too close) and parsnip does the same but only when he takes too much damage

I have used imp pear in arenas but its imp turning radius is not large enough. I would better bring primal potato mines, gattling peas, torchwood and pea vines.
When it gets leveled up a bit it turns so many more zombies to imps. But I kind of agree with you, at level 1 just use PPM

I think Potato mine is much better than Chili bean, because it doesn't have to be eaten. You cant use Chili bean on Football Zombies (while theyre charging), Gargantuars, and some other types of zombies, while Potato mine can affect almost any zombie. The arming time is a downside, but it can be countered by leveling or just using plant food on it.
I also think shadow shroom is OP because of this too, It can affect gargantuars and other types of zombies, the whole lawn even, which is OP.

Bzzz button isn't that useless, if you place MayBee before him, bees will become electrified, and deal more damage to zombies, so maybe it was worth putting Bzzz button to C tier

fun fact sun bean should be way higher because fume shrooms plant food will make it so you get lots of sun and if the zombie is very far down the lane you can get lots and LOTS of sun (best zombie to do this on is knight zombie)
Any other sun producers are better even twin sunflower.
