You don't have to go to the town centre to see this, all parts of Barrow have some vandalism, buildings that have been empty for years, I went up 79 Roose Road to my grans old house, next to the Co-op, it looked awful, the garden up front looked like a bloody jungle, and where the fish and chip shop was is now a Thai take away in Worcester Street. I walked down Cambridge Street to Salthouse, the cinema was gone, as was that lovely Sass advert on the bridge, how times have changed, and sadly for the worst.
The Cross Keys ! I had many a beer in there. Fond memories of the town centre pubs in the 60's and 70's.

They knocked down Paxton Terrace to build that monstrosity.
