Beautiful work. Can’t wait for our season to start again. I have bitter leaf but I don’t know how to use it since I’m not from West Africa. But the rest on this video I eat them. I also sell some vegetables.
Hello again my gardening friend, remember me? I send best wishes for new garden season from my homestead in northwest Florida. I am still in search of seeds for both varieties of bitterleaf, Vernonia amygdalina and Vernonia hymenolepis. I found seed for the garden huckleberry Solanum scabrum at Truelove Seeds. I have asked them and several other reputable seed sellers about getting them but no luck so far.
Another wonderful video! I think we're in the same plant hardiness zone, so it's helpful to see what I can grow and how to prepare it. I think your explanations break down the multi-step process in a way that makes it easy for a newbie to understand. If I ever get the opportunity to grow these greens, I feel confident that I'd be able prepare them properly by following this video. The food at the end looked delicious. If you ever decided to make a cooking video I'd definitely watch it! I'd also be interested in videos about how to prepare a garden for winter. I started my first garden this year. It can be overwhelming to compare it to other people's gardens. But like your channel name says, seeing all these garden possibilities fills me with hope and motivation! And it reminds me I can grow a wider variety of veggies and greens than I originally thought. 🐸🥬💚
thank you for your comment. I encourage people to start their garden journey with what they have, seeds and space and grow from there. yes, there is alot we can grow, but you also want to balance that, so you do not get overwhelmed. so, keep at it and as you gain confidence and knowledge you can expand your garden. will definitely add some cooking videos when the harvest slows down.
my mum brought the seeds for the sweet bitterleaf. As for the large leaf bitter bitterleaf, a friend gifted me some stems in the Spring but the winter killed them. which are you looking for?
Very fresh
