- Bose has launched Bose 600 Soundbar in India with Dolby Atmos. Sonos also launched their Sonos Beam Gen 2 Soundbar with Dolby Atmos. So I decided to buy both and compare the Bose 600 Soundbar with the Sonos Beam Gen 2 Soundbar. Many Dolby Atmos Soundbars are in the market from different brands, but I bought the Best Dolby Atmos Soundbars. I bought the Bose Bass Module 500 and the Bose Surround Speakers with the Bose Soundbar 600 to make it a full Dolby Atmos Home Theatre system. I also bought the Sonos Sub Mini Wireless Subwoofer and the Sonos One Gen 2 Wireless Speakers with the Sonos Beam Gen 2 Soundbar to make it a proper Dolby Atmos Home Theater system. Now I will compare these Dolby Atmos Home Theater Systems from Bose and Sonos to tell you the Best between them.

Sony and Samsung give equal if not better quality than these machines. Samsung q900d is half the cost of these soundbars in India.
I have the same Bose set up. Just came here to confirm if I was missing out on anything by not going with Sonos. Listening to your audio files cleared my doubt. Bose sounds so much better! Thank you for sharing!

Two in my family circle owns Samsung 990C and Bose SB900 + Woofer + Satellites (it is the top end model).Multiple times I listened both in actual home setup - 5.1 Surround, Atmos and 2 Channel Stereo. And Let me tell you Samsung is at par. This is also confirmed my many international reviews. Most important in ROI. Samsung take home price is 83K (soundbar + surround speakers + Sub Woofer). Bose cost was 2 Lakh. No way it sound 2X better.

I have been using SONOS1 From last 7 years. it was installed in my office in Munich Germany. I was really impressed by its sound quality so bought one from there. It works only over wifi. Since then company has introduced so many speakers.
No experience of SONOS but using Bose 900 without woofer and it's amazing product worth spending single penny.
Sonos is a very popular brand out here in North America, not sure if it’s a good product for India though because they are expensive and requires you to be an Apple iPhone user. People here in America buy Sonos due to its eco-system, when they want a long term relationship in which they purchase Sonos speakers as they go. Let me give you my example, I bought Sonos beam gen 2 many years ago for my 55” TV which was placed in a medium sized living room and an apartment. The sound quality was a wow factor initially, and the lack of bass didn’t bother me because I couldn’t make much noise in that apartment. Then I added two surround sound speakers to it, the Sonos One SL. This gave me a 5.0.0 system, the addition made a lot of difference to the sound experience, now I had an open room filling lively sound from corner to corner. Then I moved into a big house where I bought an 85” TV and placed it in a 12ftx23ft room, now I could have bass!! So I saved up for a Sonos Sub Gen 3 and bought it. Now I had a proper 5.1.0 system. My place was much bigger for a Sonos beam, I felt that due to the smaller size of the beam, the front channel separation was lacking, so after a couple of years I moved the Sonos beam to another room that has my old 55” TV and bought a Sonos Arc for my main large screen TV. Now I have a 5.1.2 system I.e. a proper Dolby Atmos system. So you can see why people choose Sonos, I slowly built an ecosystem and the experience never got old. I can’t do it effectively with any other brand. Now in the future I’ll move Sonos One SL to my living room where my Beam is, and add probably Era100 speakers or Era300 speakers to my Sonos Arc, that will upgrade my system to a 7.1.2 or 7.1.4 respectively. I can even add another subwoofer and have dual subwoofers, that’ll give me a 7.2.4 system. It’s a never ending story, we buy Sonos and we usually don’t need to sell them because they always have their place somewhere in the house. All this combined with the sound quality makes Sonos a very unique brand.
15 years back I have listened to Bose speakers in music world in Chennai they played 50 cent in da club song I was wondered how such great sound is even being produced by such small speakers that was another level asked the sales guy he said it's the "Bose" Boss

Vineet ji plz do not give wrong information. Sonos is also an omni directional sub woofer. I am using Sonos arc with Sonos Sub Gen3 and I am damn sure about it. Sonos Sub Mini is also an omni directional sub woofer.
Agreed, Sonos sub mini is omni directional as well and can be placed anywhere. I have both Bose and Sonos and love them both. Hard to go wrong with either of them.

I agree .One of my family member recently purchase Q99C for 83K. Another one owns Bose 900 complete setup costing 2L. Samsung is at par with far cheaper cost

Under 40k should i go for lg sc9s or Sony ht-g700 or save some money and go with lg sp8a at 30k , i have lg c2

Here there is a thing, I have spent hours listning to Sonos vs Bose Sonos will work at full potential only after Trueplay. Bose is only overpowering with the low frequency however its balanced in Sonos. Hence my bet is on sonos.

I was looking forward to buying a bose 600 soundbar but my TV had only ARC and not eARC so it wouldn’t have supported ATMOS so I bought bose 300 soundbar just last week. I have always been a bose fan and I never really cared for any other brand. But I have to say your video has to be the most detailed and exhaustive and honest comparison video between bose and sonos. I watched quite a few of them before buying. Big fan of your content. 💯🔥
By the way the soundbar is awesome as expected. Next level audio quality. Bose is Boss indeed.
A small query, Mr. Malhotra...in order to experience true surround sound, do I have to place the surround speakers at the rear end of the room, or can they be placed right beside the bar?

I tried both these and bought Bose 600 though Sonos was on offer (15K cheaper than Bose 600).
PROBLEMS WITH SONOS -
1) some features do NOT work in India
2) No service centre in India. This is a serious problem.
3) Sound quality is weak compared with Bose 600
4) No remote.
5) Set up and feature change only with Apple phones, no Android support.
6) No upward firing speakers. ATMOS not as effective as in Bose 600
Did you tried Samsung 990C? It is far cheaper than both of these.

Out of this video discussion. Why you do not put review on the Mivi brand? Any reasons that you do not include them in your list? Its of limited value. No soundbar can product 5.1 surround or Atmos effect without satellites. Further Bass response is weak without sub woofer.

Really great review. I’m very impress With the explanation. I hope you also make video for mid budget 5.1.2 atmos setup without soundbar like with proper 3 front channel, 2 surround channel , 2 ceiling speakers and a subwoofer. Personally I find individual speakers setup better than soundbars.
Can you throw some light about the wireless rear speakers getting frequency by Bluetooth or radio frequency? Both the speakers are getting same frequency or 2 frequency coming from sound bar for left and right surround respectively?

Hello, a good comparison between samsung q600c, q700c, q800b, or c would be much appreciated. If not video a comment will also work. I am actually planning to buy one and i have some good budget. Around 30 40k. I am a audiophile. Please suggest which one will be better. Options are q600c, q700c, q800b. But q800b is around 50k so keep that in mind.
Aapne Truespace nahi bataya Bose mein. Truespace also got better now in BSS 600.
I own BSS 300 & 600 both are premium in terms of audio quality but BSS 600 has better soundstage.

I have Bose 600 Soundbar paired with Bose bass module 500. It’s been a few weeks and I am absolutely loving it. The best Soundbar in this range. My brother who lives abroad has used both Sonos and Bose and he found Bose to be much more balanced, deeper bass and provides a better atmos experience.

Well bass module 500 stands no where in front of bass module 700 , bass module 700 is beast , now talking about soundbar , Bose 700 and 900 are the premium sound bars with immersive surround which u can never find on lower models, so whoever has Bose soundbar 700 or 900 with bass module 700 can easily stay with them for years , Cherry on the top is Bose virtual surround speakers , they take immersive sound experience to the next level . Good review though, keep up the good work .
