Mahesh Bhatt took Jackie Shroff for this movie because when Sadak was launched in 1989, Jackie was supposed to do the leading role in it but somehow Sanjay Dutt replaced him. Then Mahesh Bhatt promised Jackie that he would cast him in another movie and then he made Milan with Jackie. Sadak became blockbuster and Sanjay Dutt became superstar (offcourse another superhit Saajan also was released in same year 1991 and then Khalnayak in 1993). Sadly when Milan was released it flopped. Music was good but not as hit as Sadak. Akash Khurana couldn't do what Sadashiv Amrapurkar did in Sadak.
