As for your base it's a temporary home. Honestly, during probation I'd stick to what I know (in you're case IAH). You know the drive times you know the employee shuttle schedule you know the layout of the terminal. When I was an instructor I passed along a nugget that I heard from one of my instructors: "during your first 6 months you are interviewing for this job EVERY DAY." If you can hold it stick with what's familiar. You have an entire career to transfer to bases around the country..... Start off on a solid footing.
I totally agree, I chose to go with houston because it is cheaper so I will be able to save some money!! Not a lot of people that I talk to got based here tho
DEN Gang FTW! It's about to get INTENSE! Keep studying, help your classmates study, especially those that might be struggling. If you're struggling, don't hesitate to reach out. We're family here at United and we stick together.
@@EnnisGomez Ahh Nice. Yeah Houston is fun too. I got EWR after graduation. Study hard. The first week is pretty chill then it gets crazy busy after that. Many test await you. 🙃
I’m in Denver I live in New York (EWR wasn’t offered to us) it’s so so hard being a commuter but I think I’m finally getting the hang of it. Denver is such an easy airport to navigate I actually really love this base 😊
You did this once, you can do it again. Instructors are there to HELP you reach your goal. If they say something twice, KNOW IT. There WILL be drama a couple weeks in. Be the problem solver but know when to pick your battles. You worked solo on the JungleJet... same situation. Avoid Initial training romances no matter how hot she is. As a trainer I've released too many good candidates over high school Romeo & Juliet (or whatever the paring) stupidity. Finally it's a marathon not a sprint. When door drills start, take the extra 5 seconds to THINK IT THROUGH before acting. Can't wait to see you. You got this shyt. It's intense but 99% common sense.
A few of my friends just finished the evacuation exam, and did say several people had to go home because they didn't pass. I'm sure you can do this, I wish you the best luck!!
You'll do well... You're a smart young man I reckon and you'll conquer challenges well... You already have the Embraer under your belt so always remember you have done the trickiest flight attendanting ...sole charge. What equipment will you be on at UA?
Sounds like everything is going great so far, Ennis. Glad to hear. If it were me, I'd pick Denver, only because it would probably be the least hectic. But, you go with what would suit you the best. Merry Christmas! 🎄
I work at an airport but im with the ground crew, and i was maybe thinking trying flight attendant training, maybe i like it maybe i dont , your videos are great and informative tho, good luck bruv
I think u should choose Denver or Houston! Ur a young person and I personally would choose Denver if I was as young as you. It’s a great place to be to start out your life. I think it’s a great station to be at too. It’s perfectly in the middle of the country too, although Houston I do like that airport too. Good luck! So glad training is going well. Again merry Christmas!
@@EnnisGomez I agree and very true Houston u can find cheaper housing. I have a friend that I grew up with in cali and she moved to Houston earlier this year and she’s been loving her move out there. Congrats!!
I did a month TDY EWR and EWR was ok but for me I wouldn’t want to Base there lots of delays etc when I was flying I got my first choice which was CLE I would have liked IAD but when I was flying the Airline I worked for didn’t have a base there hope all goes well. Peace
If you decide to be based out of a new city, is it easy for you to switch back to Houston (if for some reason you decide you don't like the new location)? Also, would you have to get your own apartment in Denver or do you have family to stay with? The possibilities are exciting. Thanks for the update.
Great information, how long did it take for them to set you up for training like from the time u go your officer to training date did u wait a month or few weeks…
Thank you so much! I got an update from my mom and he’s back to eating by himself, retaining his food, active now and when he uses the restroom it’s back to normal!
Can you rate how hard Flight Attendant training is from 1-10 ? I've been considering applying, I've been thru two police academy and graduated both but I was much younger ! This would be a second career for me, Thank you so much !
Training is maybe an 8 ish, I feel like if you’ve been through police academy you can definitely get through flight attendant training. It’s a lot of studying and exam taking

I agree!! Especially airports like LAX, EWR, or DEN. Great airports (aside from LAX) but after probation, when you have some wiggle room for error.
You've said a good point, right on 👍

You should give it a try!
Just like others are saying, pick IAH or DEN. As a CS agent, that's what I hear from the newer FA'S, you'll get lots of assignments.
Ooo okay that’s good news! Now Im just gonna pass training
Just focus on getting through training Congratulations
