Good teacher. This device has been sitting idle in my rack for several years for want of knowledge as to how to use it until I chanced upon this video. More grease to your elbow.
i think i may need the Behringer Ultracurve??..I want a parametic eq for home use . . Within 1 stored patch, i want to boost/cut several 'different' bandwidths between 20hz -20hkhz... im 1: unsure how many user slots there are and 2: If you can use "Several" Bands of Parametric EQ within that 1 user patch?..Im thinking this probably has limitations if you are wanting a Stand Alone Parametric?
@@GeorgeEI7KO Hi George, I don't see a "Save/Store " Patch button where you can store multiple user programs.. Some guitar EQ programmes I'm trying to create have boosted mids while others have scooped mids for instance...
@@bryanwilliams3665 you can have different profiles saved all right. Id have to refer to my notes though. I have profiles saved for long distance work on the radio where the audio is real punchy and bright. Where as for the not so ong distance stuff I have profiles where its a lot warmer and nicer to listen to. But to answer your question yes you can. All I know is one of my buddys had the Ultracurve and he couldnt get on with it at all. Far to complicated and menu driven, where the 1124p is easier to setup.
Cheers Carl, I'm really glad you are finding them useful. I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination. Hope to hear you on 80 at some stage. 73 old boy.
Hi George. What freq on the 1124 are you running with the 7300? I’ve messed around with several but have a weird spike at 2k. Care to share so I can get an idea ?
Hi there, the best advice is to go to N(UN's site and start with the baseline settings he lays out and go from there. Pointless me giving you my settings. You gotta play with it I'm afraid, it's the only way to nail it down.
i would get a recording into a flat receiver (not equalized) actual over the air from a friend. I have a video here : ruclips.net/video/qczjEtv6fso/видео.html&ab_channel=GeorgeDonaldsonEI7KO
Hi buddy. I just got Ultra gain preamp, Virtulizer Pro, MDX 2200 processor and 32 ban graph equalizer for the ham radio. now in what order after the mic you think equipmant should go I am testing now with pream first for sure then virtulizer and processor an EQ at the end. Thanks Branko YU5KBM
I've just purchased a used one on ebay and looking for some information. I run a mobile disco and do occasional karaoke so it's purely for feedback removal although, I found your video very interesting and helpful in understanding the parametric principles. I'm most curious as to how and why a ham radio user would use it. Is it purely to make your voice sound fuller? Thanks for posting.
how to connect feedback destroy to eq, compressor..1.mixer to eq to compressor to feedback destroy to amplifier. 2.mixer to feedback destroy to eq to compressor to amplifier .which is appropriate
@@GeorgeEI7KO i saw your rig in your vlog that is why i know, i am also inactive ham in my country, from phils, but i was long time ago inactive, i've just saw your vlog and looks great, we share same passion, i am now into sound system too. 73's bro keep up the good work.

This video is old but i admire your patience while you teach. Still pretty useful
I appreciate that!
Good video. I just bought one for 30 bucks Canadian funds. Cant wait to get my rack stuff setup
Good luck!

the 1124p will do this task as is can be used as a fully parametric EQ. The ultracurve is not an easy unit to get to grips with at all.

Just got one , how do you set it to automatically suppress any feedback on monitors or FOH ( manual isnt totally clear to me ) , thanks
really clear explanation, thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
You are the best my friend, awesomeness
Nice videos…learning a lot. Let me ask, what kind of pen are you using ? Looks very smooth. Thanks for the videos. Cheers..
nothing fancy. Just a ball point if i remember right
Thanks again George for putting up the video,

Hey, nice video, but one question: What is the range of the gain regulator in parametric eq mode?
+16dB to -48dB

Hello George, In the processing is both the 15 band eq needed and dsp 1124p?. Since they are both equalizer please advise
In my case i only use the 1124 as EQ as it is fully parametric
Is there a way to set up just auto switch on and forget it
How do you get the best transparent representation of your outgoing audio? Thanks George

If you chaeck out the NU9N website and study the 'TX Setup' Section, This will help you.

We have a very restricted bandwidth. The object of the exercise is to make 3khz sound like its 12khz wide if you follow. Hi fidelity.
1124 or fb1000?? Different or no??
no clue man. i only have the 1124
You say boost and cut As if turning the volume up-and-down.
I say sharpen and flatten. As If we were speaking about tone. B#
