Public lobbies in GTA are literally the worst gaming experiences ever. It's about as fun as wiping yourself with the pointed edges of a circular saw coated in lemon juice.
People should find kitten king in GTA and every time he plays GTA people join every game he's in and constantly follow him and kill him over and over again.
But that's what he likes doing, just shooting people. He's not a player that tries to complete missions or experience more things the game has to offer.

Same here. Between Server issues and the abundance of Aholes running amuck,there is no reason at all to play or be a CEO. You will lose more money than you will ever make in the public space, let alone recouping the 1.5+ million in capital outlay. And shame on Rockstar for forcing this crap into Public space.
Rockstar needs to massively up the money you earn from CEO missions, and add it to single player at a large penalty to money gained for balance even though I can go off and make over a hundred grand doing missions in a solo server for half the time it would take as a CEO.
And you can't do CEO Missions in Private Lobbies...which, I mean, I kinda get, but holy shit, people are a bunch of bastards. On PC, Me and my friends always go into a zero-pop lobby, and are just super diligent about kicking people who join.
The problem with that is it can be something you can get banned over for abusing the ban system. Public lobbies are meant to be that and the ceo stuff is intended to be a competition and removing that removes the point of the update.
You should send out a tweet to yourfans or saying that you want defenders during your CEO times, or find some trustworthy fans to serve as bodyguards for you =P
Agreed. And when someone does roll up on them instead of getting nervous and immediately shooting, they should take advantage of fans who want to help. Clearly a few of them wanted to here, but ended up just dying and weren't able to really do much.

idk if its possible with the xbox one, but they could change their mts settings to 927 or around, to get "private public sessions", that way they spawn alone, and then invite the others. of course the fun of online would be gone, but eh. like so they -probably wont- see this comment.
There might be a combination of things to limit player connections from outside their office network, like restricting their nat setting, messing with ports for hours or fucking with wireshark and WAN settings. But, GTA server-side already sucks enough and the freemode map is not a peer to peer connection which makes most hacks worse then just dealing with public servers. Also the effort and time it would take is not really enough for a simple GTA video I suppose.

+Teb Teb that's the point, the defenders have limited lives but better armor and guns and larger numbers, the attackers don't have as good guns and less people but they don't have an escort to worry about and infinite lives, it may be asymmetrical but it has to be, if the attackers had the same number of people and the same guns they could just keep rushing until all the defense team was dead, but the way it's set up both teams have to be tactical in how they play.

Totally agree. Even if you do find an "empty" server, eventually someone will join and then destroy you - usually right before you make your delivery. If I could sell my warehouse and CE building space for $0.10 on the dollar, I'd be further ahead than trying to make this work. Shame on Rockstar for making this crap only playable in public space. (PS: And I am aware of VIP Work to make aprox $25,000 per job, but that's as big a grind as doing those missions for money).
Have you seen the internet problems AH tends to have? That would be a nightmare if that many people tried using the office internet to join the same game.

my personal experience with companies is that people usually dont dare to fuck with you unless somebody else is already fighting you, so killing 1 can quickly snowball into the entire lobby hunting you down... but then there are days where you exit your offices and get shot down 4 times before you can even get 1 block away

CEO stuff just might not be meant for a good let's play, especially when you have a pretty big following. If you were small time, sure, people won't always clog into whatever server you're on and harass you on a constant level even more so than a casual player.
Public lobbies are cancerous. Luckily me and my friends do a glitch that can get us into a public session by ourselves and make it so no randoms can join. The jobs do get repetitive, but I've made millions of dollars because of it.

And Rockstar wonders why we want to do these mission on Solo with very hard NPC's (there already NPC's chasing us just program more if you want it to be hard).

Well, it's a question of semantics, isn't it? Surely the AH guys aren't taking it too seriously, and they're involved in the game world, essentially role playing. So when they call the other guys "assholes" it's not necessarily a character judgement of the person behind the controller - or maybe it is! In any case, I think OP's interpretation of their "asshole" comments is possibly too strict an interpretation. When role playing gets involved, as it does with all games to varying degrees, it can be hard to disentangle the players from their characters and the in-game world from the real world. That's all my point was, really, not meaning to say it's impossible to be any other definition of asshole while playing ;-)
This is exactly why I stopped playing online. I don't mind a little killing, but when it's almost impossible to spawn and live more than 3 seconds it becomes annoying.
my favorite part about public lobbies is those players in passive mode chase you then turn off passive mode, kill you everytime you respawn, and go back on passive mode love it

I know he's probly not reading this, but Jeremy, use the D-Pad arrows when you're navigating on the phone (for things like depositing money). Its faster than using the sticks to navigate, and it auto-locks on the buttons.

The fact that Jack claims to be a decent pilot, but tries to outrun a SAM, doesn't execute evasive maneuvers, and doesn't pull up his landing gear, is pretty ironic.
Its still extremely stupid that people you killed respawn so close to you. Obviously if you kill someone in a situation like this is because they are in your way or threaten your progress. Spawning them practically next door gives them a super easy chance to just immediately kill you back, resulting an idiotic back and forth.

This is why my friends and I always play the "Find the session with the fewest people" game before doing any jobs in public.

Well the CEO missions are only available in the public lobbies and if you want do a Let's Play on that then you'll have to do it in the public lobby.

I love how they call everyone that kills them assholes. The whole point of this CEO stuff is that it's not easy because other players contest it and get rewards from them. Just because someone is better than you and kills you doesn't make them assholes.

Just because people can kill you doesn't mean they're better. It's not hard to kill/spawn kill people in GTA: Online with all the cheap and overpowered weapons they have in the game.
I mean, the point of the game is to be assholes, car jacking and crime not exactly being the nicest of activities. So really, by calling them all assholes, they're actually complimenting them by affirming that they are achieving the main objective of the game.

Well, it's a question of semantics, isn't it? Surely the AH guys aren't taking it too seriously, and they're involved in the game world, essentially role playing. So when they call the other guys "assholes" it's not necessarily a character judgement of the person behind the controller - or maybe it is! In any case, I think OP's interpretation of their "asshole" comments is possibly too strict an interpretation.
When role playing gets involved, as it does with all games to varying degrees, it can be hard to disentangle the players from their characters and the in-game world from the real world. That's all my point was, really, not meaning to say it's impossible to be any other definition of asshole while playing ;-)

This is exactly why I stopped playing online. I don't mind a little killing, but when it's almost impossible to spawn and live more than 3 seconds it becomes annoying.
my favorite part about public lobbies is those players in passive mode chase you then turn off passive mode, kill you everytime you respawn, and go back on passive mode

I know he's probly not reading this, but Jeremy, use the D-Pad arrows when you're navigating on the phone (for things like depositing money). Its faster than using the sticks to navigate, and it auto-locks on the buttons.

it would not even be hard. tehy could grab some animaters, or just who ever shows up at the office to get tours. or get family. sure the best part of these public lobby games is the risk of people stopping them, but if they can get less people tring to stop them that would be good

You, along with the other players in the session, were only following Geoff, Jeremy, Jack, and Ryan because they are "famous" Internet personalities. This is unfortunately a common trend among the fan bases of many large RUclips channels which adversely affects the quality of the content produced. It is dubious whether you would have even bothered to kill them if you didn't know their identities and this is where the outrage comes from.

Its still extremely stupid that people you killed respawn so close to you. Obviously if you kill someone in a situation like this is because they are in your way or threaten your progress. Spawning them practically next door gives them a super easy chance to just immediately kill you back, resulting an idiotic back and forth.
