For the rookie defence, I find it best to put them on top 4 lines so that they could go up in overall, it’s a risk sometimes though

Yeah even after I've edited him and raised his passing puck control etc etc he just never produces, never had him on my team but he just never puts up numbers. Same with makar for me, it's annoying @@RainvilleTV

EA was capping to you so hard with their excuse for why guys like Bjarnason don’t get signed. They just don’t know why their AI does it sometimes. Some glitches in their software have been in the game for years and they just haven’t figured out what causes them (I don’t think they’ve even looked that hard either)
I would trade one of Girard or Durzi to try and get rid of that negative chemistry on the 2nd pair. You could even give one of the two young defensemen that spot on the 2nd pair if it opens up. That might help them grow better. Just a suggestion tho. Great vid as always!

I’m back to back years in NHL 23 I got a medium elite 70+ overall player in the last five picks of the second round
last year kopitar was popping off for me third line despite being a 78 overall, guy couldnt skate but he could pass and and knew where to be
You commented about how it doesn’t make much sense to trade back, I agree. What about trading up? How far could you move up by just trading one pick at a time? For example Pick 55 for 54, then 54 for 53, and so on. I was curious because I actually moved up 5 spots the other day just by following this pattern… Wondering how far I could’ve taken it ha-ha.

How come you only look at the points production when looking to see how your Defenseman did? Shouldn’t you check hits, blocks, takeaways, giveaways? +/-
I think for playoffs you should sim period by period every game. Also turn off Auto Rotate goalies. Rotate them yourself and if you get a hot backup just run with it

Love these franchises, but one thing I’ve noticed is that you stack your teams a lot. It seems to work against you, it’s like the game doesn’t like stacked teams.

why does your ahl team play 82 games, for some reason mine only plays 72
Honestly I don't go by overall at all when it comes to offering contracts. I go by point production, idc if they're 90 overall if they're putting up 50-60 points they aren't getting 9mil shits retardedly annoying

I hate how when you are in the middle of making a trade it removes you and all the players in it just because the pick changed. In real life GMs aren’t forced to hang up the phone every time a pick changes so they really should fix that in the future

Trade away prospects instead of picks
Why don't you check your team's stats in the playoffs if they're not doing well? Like for example Knight was below .900, so for Game 7 why not give Dostal a chance and maybe sub out a D man whose plus minus is garbage? Barrie's plus minus is not great either so get rid of that. Love the vids though man. Cheers
