    Love Gimli. I had some American friends visit me a few years back and made a point of taking them to Gimli to see the sights. Enjoyed the video.

    I'd suggest visiting Gimli during Islendingadagurinn, it's main festival.

      Definitely! I've heard a lot of good things about many of the family-owned restaurants in town. Would love to visit again and try more local fare

    I went to Gimli many years ago.
    Met Harrison Ford who was there making a submarine movie.

    Maybe Tolkien got influenced by Gimli in order to create Dwarf character as Gimli. We love Nordic people 🥰

      Good to know! I knew the region was extensively settled by Icelanders but I wasn't aware that any existed outside of Gimli in significant numbers apart from a family or two. Thanks for the info!
