Bait the enemy into coming for them by placing their leader in a disadvantageous position to trap them. It just so happens that Muzan sprung his trap second... He was never here to kill just Ubuyashiki, he's here to wipe out the entire Slayer Corp in a single night!
Not really. Muzan’s intentions were to only get rid of the master and get Nezuko. He already knew everyone’s locations for weeks now. He could have easily put them all into the castle if he wanted to. He just underestimated

Like they had to be distracted by the situation with master's mansion blowing up and being in the middle of attacking Muzan in a blind rage for them to all fall into the trapdoors without any fail. That way it'd make sense why it worked out well for Muzan story wise atleast XD

That place is called the Infinity Castle, its the Upper Demon with the guitar that sent the eyes out Demon Art. She controls all of it for Muzan. There is no next season the animes have ended. The war in the Castle will be broken into 3 movies one per year. The end will be in 3 years. The wife and kids wanted to die with the Leader. They still have 3 more children that will assist and control the birds and Hasira in the castle.
@wellsinner I didn't give anything away not in the anime, all of the children has been shown Im sorry for those that didn't keep up, they would've known all of the kids were not gone by simply watching. Also Muzan had a great 1 on 1 with the Demon that controls the castle, her eyes were everywhere, and this is the 2nd time shown inside the castle just this arc. Everything I said was presented already...not my fault if some are to lazy to see, figure out the obvious that the anime already presented.
