Anyone that can help adviice what the difference is of the 2023 Trek remedy 8 and the OrbeaOccam H30 bike? I got a chance to choose between those.. but I am new to MTB.. what are the advantages and riding feel of each if one compare? thanks
@@dommorley9743 I have the 2021 remedy do you think it’s the same lyrik fork? And what size did you chose and your videos are great you should post again
I come from a DH back ground and find the travel perfect for a bit of everything. I do run more psi than recommended for my weight but I have never had any issues bottoming out too much or wasting travel on rides. If the suspension is set up properly you won't notice too much between 150 and 160
Hello, I like your videos a lot ! I just wanted to know if you still have your remedy 8 and if this bike still makes you satisfyed , cause I have a dh bike and I'm planning to switch with a remedy, but I don't know if it could allow me to send it as much as on my dh bike. Thanks in advance for your answer, keep it on bro 🤙🏻
Hey man, I used to ride a Santa Cruz v10. The remedy is a very capable bike and I still do all the same tracks on it as I did on the v10 (Remedy is probably faster too). Just got to spend a bit more time getting the suspension dialed in right
what were the "issues" that you had with previous models? Sounded like you were going to cover some things like that and how this model is different/better, no?
Hey David, sorry only just saw this comment! Yes I was meaning to cover this in the video. Basically on the 2020 I blew the rear shock twice and the mino link kept coming loose. The rear shock was then upgraded on the 2021 model and I haven't had any issues with the mino link on the newer bike :) apologies for the very late reply
@@dommorley9743 I have a 2019 slash and I have been debating about getting a remedy. I rode one once at the bike park and liked the 27.5's ability to toss it around. It's tough choice though because I have a good amount of rooty descents where I live at which makes the slash a solid option too but it's a hunk to toss around on small hits
@@losbrowndogs I'd suggest riding one again and just think about why you ride, do you want to have fun but sorta muck around a bit or do you want to be fast and more versatile across all terrain. I have ridden both and chose the remedy for my riding style :)
I've got this on order, so it was really good to see it perform out on the trail! I'll definitely drop you a follow, want to see more of the remedy 8!
I had a Remedy 2012, but it got stolen. So bought myself a 2022 Remedy and couldn't be happier.
I also bought the TREK. I'm looking forward to it as it will arrive soon!
Hey mate, i’ve ordered mine and will be arriving this September and I can’t wait!
Just placed an order for this in the Matt green colour so excited to get it but won’t be till August :(
Rode this two days at Trestle in Winter Park.
Incredible - going yo buy one

Really great review. 27.5 feels more alive than a 29"
Try a Remedy 8 26er like mine. 2008 model. Love it

TYSM for the vid❤😊
are you in new zealand and what size fork decals do you have and i assume they are from slik graphic
Yep in NZ! Decals are from slik graphics, trek volt yellow and yeti teal is what I used I believe (Lyrik select +)

What do you think about the amount of travel too? I was thinking about switching to a 150 instead of a 160.

@@dommorley9743 okay, thanks for your impression 👍🏻👍🏻 I guess I'll have more fun on this bike

how many water bottle mounts are there?
Just one spot, the way the rear shock sits on the trek frames (minus the hardtails and supercaliber) only allow for the one spot ☺️
How safe is that suction bike rack holder on top of your car? I’ve got trek remedy 2017. Best bike I’ve owned.
Will do a video on the rack very soon 😉… but it’s amazing, have had no issues at all.
I’m almost 5ft8 do you think a medium size 2020 trek remedy 8 should be fine?
Hey mate, yep I would be going for medium. Can always change the stem if you wanted a little more reach etc but should be sweet with an M :)
@@dommorley9743 thanks, I’ve seen people say the sizes are smaller than most bikes but I think in meduim it would be more playful aswell
Use m/l size for 5’8
Nice man.. I have trek slash 8
Awesome bikes man! roll faster than the remedy too...

Seen this at the trek store in a size m... Looking for a size ml.. I think im 5ft9
You could probably go either way. Depends how you want the bike to feel (M will be more nimble). I'm exactly 6ft and Large is perfect.
How tall are you
Hey Paul, I am 183cm (6ft)
