I honestly still can't imagine what pushed him to call me an "inferior irrelevant scrub" after one duel, but ya know. All it takes to avoid things like this is to just have fun with the game, and understand that at times everyone loses. I wasn't trying to fish for salt with this player and I hope that comes across. He just kept messaging and insulting until he decided that he was too good for me. I hope you all enjoyed :D Let me know what you think down below.

To be fair here, sometimes better players lose to worse players- in anything. It’s just how it goes. Winning or losing one duel, even several doesn’t mean anything. The better player will be the one that consistently wins more.

I would to but I only play Ninja so I usually just spam kick moves and jump around like a maniac
This was when the game 1st came out so everyone was bad.
And his only combo set ups were grabs. All he ever did either than grab spam was throw a quick attack before the grab, or side step quick attacks into nothing. Like its such an obvious projection onto the guy who made the vid.
He accused him of one tapping but couldn't string any strikes together. With a character thats designed to have unending combos.
Something about that game makes people irrational. So many messages after duels where people call you a camper because you time up all 7 of their overhead heavies with no set ups.

I played with him about a month ago i won a 2v2 on my own because my teammate kept dying and he spammed me saying how i was toxic and probably cheating.
I replied saying something like if you won't pipe down now I'll throw in a wheelie bin and roll you down a hill
Yeah, I have also played against him like around 2 weeks ago, I played Aramusha while he used berserker (I think its his main or something) and winned 1v3, he started sending like 12+ messages while I was in the middle of another duel just saying things like:
Aramusha is just an S tier character, you are just a pathetic noob player and things like that...
I just replied: "Aramusha is an S tier character" lmao the salt is real bro, chow. And proceeded to report and block him

Raider's more of a meme than anything else. Not as much as shugoki, but still a meme. He doesn't have any decent mix-ups other than heavy and unblockable into stunning tap, and that eats stam faster than starving Africans eat food. His heavies are easy to parry, and he doesn't have many options to control the pace of the fight.

At higher levels, it's hard to get a guard break off unless you use some cancels or punish a mistake. Better players will also be more cautious around ledges, so as to not be thrown off.

It's like that time a rep 9 orochi complained about me spamming flail uppercut and shield bash mix-up. He accused me of turtling. I was a level 5 Conq.
Flail uppercut has a prerequesite, and that is the fact that you have to hit me in my full guard first. If he didn't fall for the heavy startup into full guard by using riptide strike every single time, I wouldn't be able to 'spam' flail uppercut. I'm not missing out on a free 40 damage on Orochi.
Shield bash. The only real offensive tool I have against Orochi. Sure. I may hit him with a bash and one or two lights, but he could've just dodged away before I landed the chain shield bash. I can't really be the turtle here if I'm the only one attacking.

Dotrax not even half of those are concurrent though, not trying to bash this game I wanted it to succeed so bad. I loved their approach on it. But in the first few months of launch it stayed at 28,000 concurrent players at any given time, and currently hovered around 1,000. To put that into perspective, battlefield 4, a 4 year old game puts up the same numbers.

My rule for For Honor is "It's ok the ledge and gank a player only if they do it first." as I recall, the second round started with him trying to ledge you.
Good rule.
If its in the game its ment to be used. If something is broken then the game needs to be changed. Dont hate the player hate the game. In the scenario where someone gets low health and wants to play by the ledge i would just wait him out as far away from the ledge as possible... Im assuming if you have more health than your opponent when the time runs out it counts as a win?
Walter Gray I use that rule unless they walk to the ledge just like he did on the final round because 1. They are asking for it 2. If you don't they clearly are gonna try otherwise why would they put themselves in that position

Nah, you did fine. The duel was fair. The last ledge i can say was alright cuz 1: he put himself in the situation, you literally pushed him away from the ledge and he crawled back to it and 2: he was almost dead anyway.
Rogue Ninja ledges are always ok. Play around them instead of whining about them.
TBC1 whats the fun in throwing someone off a cliff in the beginning on a fight, no game play, just round over. (My reasons for 'whining') At least when they are low health they had a chance to fight. When a low health is by the ledge, you know what he is thinking. He lost, this is my only choice. Makes sense.
I think being able to move strategically is part of the game, so if you let yourself get pushed back against the ledge you really don't have room to complain when you get thrown off. Just my opinion though

I would have just thrown the report his way by the fourth or fifth message and got him a 3 day ban. He 100% deserves it.

Well the banns for messages on Xbox are really weird, I once got direct warning messages from Xbox live for over a year but It ended up banning me for 12 pathetic hours

Nah you are in the right on this one the entire duel was fair save for the ledge at the end but he was clearly trying to throw you off the edge cause he wasn't secure enough in his "Diamond III top 6 percent in the world" skills to make a comeback and kill you with out the ledge and he just got mad that it backfired on him

It's a dirty trick and the ledge shouldn't be the main aspect of your strategy, since it doesn't reflect your actual skill.
Of course, I'm not one of the pussies that will run up to a ledge and let the opponent throw me off, calling it "unfair".
I just think people who only do this should try to git gud instead of trying to abuse ledge.
I love how he claims to be the best at this game when his attack pattern is the same. He just lights, feints a heavy into guard break. He did that 4 fucking times in a row.
I’m not sure if the definition of turtling has changed in my months of not playing, but he was definitely turtling. I never did that as berzerker, and I always got destroyed when I tried. As I former bezerk main, I also questioned some of his moves (Could be due to me only being a rep/prestige 7 bezerk and 9 rep overall, but still...) And these aren’t because we have different consoles, I have an Xbox one as well.

La Galaxy1010 Berserker is a great turtle. Heavy attack off a heavy parry without need of GB, 95 damage out of stamina punish, and a good deflect. You can play him offensively but it only works when people are going for parries.
Sadly some people just can't admit when they are bested. It is like the players that blame everyone on a team for loosing when he didn't play well himself. It is the sad nature of the beast with video games, people's egos get way inflated, such a shame, I feel bad for the guy really, I hope he grows up and finds out for himself it is just a game and there will always be people that either are better than you or win by luck. I was playing duos and I got in a fist fight right as I landed. I ended up killing him but I was really low health. His friend started to chase me so I ran,for like 2 mins. Luckily my friend got a gun and killed him. He then messaged me saying he’d beat me one on one. Like boi..it’s duos for a reason.
