Wow ! Amazing pictures. It might not have been what you wanted to do, but the satisfaction of pushing yourself through and seeing through the end is the best feeling. I say great job 👏
“All in” on the beautiful outdoors and mountain ranges. (from the balcony of my hotel) You are amazing to get out there and actually live it. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us balcony dwellers.
Wow I do like your van 😉 It’s good to learn , push on over the mistake’s. I try to learn some tithing new each day . I’ll keep watching , that’s no mistake . Be safe , enjoy 👍😇
Maybe you already know this but the classic routes to the Carlit are either East from the Bouillouses or West from the Lanoux (with a difficult couloir). I think you made things harder for yourself with the itinerary. But in the end you adapted and that's the most important part.
Although very technical the Carlit is definitely skiable but I don't understand why you climbed by the Col Rouge that makes it much longer and harder imo. You did well to go down before the summit the, the last part of the ridge is for sure the most dodgy.
A long day out. 👍👍for getting out of your comfort zone. Inspiring. Question (more based on your thru-hiking) - how do you manage all of your data whilst off the grid?
Like GPX files and stuff? I have the outdoor active app with downloaded maps, I have a whole video about that. How I navigate without a GPS I think it’s called
@@ChaseMountains I was thinking more of all the data you must acquire with so much video being shot. I assume you have to download it to somewhere after a day or two when your are out for 20-30 days. My SD card seems to fill up really fast when shooting video.
GoPro MAX 360 with “invisible selfie stick mode” . You can see the shadow of the stick on the snow. Explained here: ruclips.net/video/NgqhakyG5KA/видео.html 😉
Cool to see progress in your mountain adventures. Snow conditions in late winter present many challenges.
Awesome scenery, thank for sharing mate! I had to notice one thing: Lift your feet less and embrace the shuffle uphill! Saves tons of energy.
Wow congratulations! That looks like an amazing day and great job on the video
So much work to climb - along with all the work to film. Thanks for sharing this - it was beautiful.
Glad you're OK! Thanks for sharing your lessons learned.

Balcony still counts as outside, you’re doing good 😉👍

Amazing trip dude ! i think there is some tracks around Pic Carlit on Fatmap. See you on the summit :)
Great little film man, its truly beautiful up there. Makes me want to get better on skis so I can add some skiing to some future mountain climbs!!
If you can already ski, why not? Skiing down is the best :)
Brilliant filmography bud, gorgeous editing too. So very atmospheric and picturesque!
Mind boggling scenery! But for me a very chancy trip….
Yep, that's some crazy, epic footage!
Gorgeous views! I learned so much! … And now back to training…
Good story. Such freedom. Thank you!
Brilliant well done you!
That was brave! You achieved and learnt so much from that
Love the van 🚐!😁🙌🙌
Nice vid! I also dig how open you are about your abilities and your limits. Way to go, mate!
Thanks for an great video! Honest heart felt adventure with “bloopers” love it!
❤️ the van 😎
combining hiking and skiing does seem super fun. Makes me wonder if I should try to learn to ski again
Chase, after seeing the earlier video on your Altra Olympus trail runners, I'm curious for an update. Are these Vivobarefoots a replacement for them?
Great vid .
Nice adventure.
Big day mate!

I'll have another go from the more obvious route this year. I'm still a hella noob when it comes to skiing
looks like a cool adventure still!
what boggles my mind is how you film the scenes starting at 09:00 if you went there by yourself?
360 degree camera :) GoPro Max. It’s my new toy, very versatile
@@ChaseMountains thx chase!
that's amazing.
for a moment I was sure, there was someone else filming you, while also skiing downhill
Great video! Does seem like snow shoes would have been a better choice for this adventure.
You have no idea how much post holing happened behind the scenes hahaha. But skiing down was probably worth it

Who made your fleece? There is a Tibetan writing on it.
Hi Chase what type of camera did you use? Really nice views!
GoPro max, it’s a 360 cam. Pretty cool huh?
Great video!
Is it the Tracker or Magna Forest Esc?

This is so fucking cool bro!
Does anyone know what fleece he’s wearing at the start? It’s very snazzy lol
It’s from Salewa. I found it at a second hand shop it’s probably 20 years old at least
I wounder how your knees felt after this tour?
All good!
"Alone"!?!? Who was shooting the footage around the 8:30 to 9:30 mark - Seems to me you wern't "Alone"!!!!!

Technology is so amazing. I saw the shadow and was so confused! Mind =blown. Its like magic! 👍
Its a 360 camera, selfie stick becomes invisible in post production
