Thank you very much for shedding some light into my issue man! I've been having this exact kernel panic for weeks and without any spare parts to swap out, I'm left to try to fix it on the software side. Also, you made me laugh at many points in the video, that's a plus.
You are seriously the best. The first video I have ever seen that keeps the bullshit out. Love you man.
Got nothing but respect for you.
thank you so much for making this, not sure whether it's fixed my issue yet but even if not i appreciate the effort
(if i don't get the issue within a week or so, i'll come back to let people know)
Hi I'm having the same problem too and I would like to know how it's going for you even after 3-4 days of your comment on this video.
i haven't had the problem at all since trying these tips - i have a feeling that the thing that did it was:
control shift escape
startup tab
I had two of the same process starting at the same time - a "background audio process"
i just disabled one of them, and that was all
it might not have been that, but whatever it was, this video was very useful
thank you brother i hope that this video would help you fix the issue. its extremely annoying especially when you're in the middle of something and you're system must not receive a reboot command and it does with this error constantly.
the reason behind my system's error was a loose cable from my psu. because of its modular design.
Hey first of all thank you for your effort and clear explanations, but im confused with one thing . What if i have the bugcheck code/parameter all 0 but the PowerButtonTimestamp 131596953622948062 . Does it still mean its a hardware issue ?

Thanks once again for this, have a nice day.
hello dear suff
no not necessarily.
if you press the power button on your case and hold it down for at least 3 to 5 seconds then this action will be noted in the event data as a Powerbuttontimestamp entry which is value other than zero.
this scenario usually happens when a hard hang occurs.
Wow that's actually the best information you can find online, wonder why crap content gets over this stuff. Good job!
Thanks for the video man. I don't know if any of these helped but I found your humor to lighten my mood.
i'm glad.
thank you.
Hey man wanted to thank you for the video mine has been going on for a week of this error and I'll say its quiet annoying when you are in the middle of a stream and it shuts down randomly.I hope with these possible changes my issue should be okay. If not may have to look into hardware changes but thank you again!
Thanks so much dude, not sure if this works but it looks quite hopeful. You're a legend for this video, love ya.
you are a legend my friend you deserve all respect
thank you WarGho
glad you liked the video.
You're as dumb as he is
thank u so much sir. i am implementing these guidelines on my pc thats a laptop so i cant put in many of those hardware remedies but appreciate the effort and hope that my system works well.
i've all those things a year ago, and recently this happaned to me again.
After i check all drivers and all other stuff, pc was getting the karnel power error like before.
All i did was cleaning the dust inside, all fans, cpu and gpu, power suply, and changed thermal past, even when my temps were good.
Its been almost a month and no error, so if this doesn't fix your error try to clean your pc.
Hey this is because of the dust in the heat sink and cooling fan. The system turns off because of overheating. You guys have to clean your fan and the problem is solved.
Which one? CPU or GPU?
My pc sometimes turns off when my cpu temp is in the 50s
my cpu and gpu are literally 35 degrees
love you man, and i share your pain
That didnt help yet but I will try every single way you mentioned here, thank you bro

Thanks, you taught me a lot! I wouldn't know the problem is in hardware if it wasn't for this video, because I am not that great with Computers, but not really bad either, anyways I guess it would've taken me eternity to figure out the problem without you! you sound pissed but i believe you.. i have this problem for a few months now and i changed a lot of parts in my pc still having this problem i am going nuts slowly but i am thinking to buy an entire new pc from scratch and burn the problematic one and kill it with fire i will try these suggestions thanks

my setup is approximately 5 years old, the most ancient part is a hd695 with 2gb vram, was the shit back then. i also did the physical checks and all other things returned only positive results, this happened to me after a win 10 update, under linux i can work perfectly fine. unfortunately i am not so proficient in solving these problems and my own research returned rather little. maybe this additional info rings a bell for you?

Is there a problem with the CPU?
Same here! After a Windows update my laptop started to restart by itself when I am not using it and I am unable to find a solution to it.
hello if I can afford it but I don't find it the right solution, especially for tests, the internal Windows tool to check the RAM is not as true as Memtest86 and Furmark is a benchmark known to overheat the GPU too much, risking burning it
5:10 This is my Code too! What does that mean exactly when you say dead in your case? Was your PSU dead and had to be replaced?
You sound as pissed as me after searching for a fix to this shit for over 3 months now. I tried everything and still nothing. It's been happening since I installed a new CPU cooler.
Look at how many watts ur power suply can deliver maybe its too low so wen ur pc goes under load it just shuts down is quz ur system does not have enough power. and then u need 2 upgrade ur psu (powersuply) this helped me
Found out it was my motherboard which had a bad updated bios, they released another one in a month and it solved everything !
Hey, did the bios update automatically with a windows update or did you have to manually update the bios
@@lwill4075 I got it downloaded manually but it's fairly simple, it's almost fully automated
@@tz164 where did you go to download it. Forgive me, I'm no expert. But I all of a sudden got that Kernel power 41 with random restart.
@@lwill4075 u need to search your motherboard model on the manufacturers website, they should have all updated bios ready for you to download
@@tz164 ok thanks
Thanks for all your in-depth advice and Solutions but how do I now make my PC even load to Windows desktop again? This problem happened to me some months ago and I've been ok without it for months now my PC won't just start what do I do now? Thank you.
It tries to load then powers down it tries to load then it powers down indefinitely until I switch off the PSU.
This may be helpful to somebody with the same problem:
So i opened my pc and cleaned a bit of dust there and applied pressure on all psu and sata connectors. Booted up and was able to access the bios. It showed me that my system ssd drive wasn't there, Sata1 was empty but my archive and dvd-drive were there. So i opened my pc again applied pressure on connectors again unplugged then plugged back my sata1(system drive) connector to see if it was fitting ok then i booted back the pc and my system drive showed up in sata 1 but for some reason i was stuck with the override boot: boot to efi shell. So i was unable to reach my win10 desktop at first. I did some tweaking in the bios, tried some different options then out of nowhere sata1 (system disk) was available in override boot so i clicked on it and now my pc boots directly to win10. I did what you described in your video and my system is working now. So Thank you :)
Don't lose hope people and don't get attached to material objects, i know it sucks if it is your pc for work but if there is almost nothing you can do then there is no rational reason to get upset, try working on this. Give it to a repair shop, let them have the headache while you drink a cold one.
Hardware is so diverse by now and OS's get more and more complex so it's seems like fate to have those bugs plus incompetent devs, not all of them but still. Businesses are more interested for you in buying their product than releasing a stable working version of it. We're not beta testers.
Anyway if your pc is working i'd advise against experimentation, better is the worst ennemy of good with computers. I encountered it time and time again.
So, time will tell.
Thanks again InDepth.
Well done Video , Congrat man !!!
Thank you very much for this video, I am having the same problem since i upgrade my motherboard. I only upgrade the motherboard every thing else is the same. I am getting windows restart only on cold boot, event 41, kernel power, but i am having codes. Computer is running excelent, i can play games all day without problems.
I have a question, did your computer fail prime95 before resetting your cpu or it pass?
Hello Carlos
thank you for your comment.
prime95 for me was a pass but i only used it once if i kept on testing my system with it i know now that it would fail.
Hello I'm facing the same problem i can play games all day without problems but windows restarts on kernel power
I have a bad Tower ...now everything is perfect after disconnecting reset switch from motherboard... my tower had a bad reset switch .. The only downside is powering up from motherboard switch ... I don’t care as long as there’s no more kernel 41 😎
Thank you for this by the way
you are so genuine
I got a bugcheck value of 0, so ur saying I have a faulty part. I have a laptop that has valid warranty. What part should I get replaced?
No tips from any video helped me with the Kernel 41 error. What worked was changing the PSU!
It’s either a software issue or hardware issue, happens to me when mostly playing games that have anticheat or heaven. I’ll try ddu
I was having this issue and I became convinced it was a hardware issue. Turned out to be the drivers with my headset.
so I know this post is almost a year old, how ever I thought I should let guys know that I received this error on a brand new updated copy of windows, all drivers are up to date, but I do notice everytime this issue occurs and I log back into my windows there is a windows update, EVERYTIME so im thinking its something to do with the windows update that is causing this at least in my case n e ways...
A newer version of windows 10 is believed to be the problem. they say to fix it like this:
Press Windows key + R
Type:
C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\
Hit Enter
Create the folder TileDataLayer
Open it then create another folder called Database.
This didn't fix the kernel problem for me but maybe for some people it will fix some things.
This just happened to me if it happens again i will try
Kirbymaniac I searched for software corruption because I thought that was the problem, but the kernel error and shutting down was actually caused by overheating. I upgraded my cpu heatsink and fan and installed an extra case fan and now it doesn’t crash anymore. Maybe you should check for overheating too
@@jordyvandeven3954 I don't suffer with overheating. some friends i know have also had the error in the last week or so

Hello! Seriously thank you for the awesome video. I do have one question though. My bug check seems to be 0x116, which Microsoft said might be caused by low power supply. Which makes sense now that I think about it because a few months ago my gaming laptop would randomly crash if I'm not charging it (Even though it would be over 80% charge). My question is, is there ANY way I can make sure my laptop is getting enough power supply from the battery/adapter?
hello abdullah
usually for that you need to open your laptop and test your battery with a multimeter and find out if the battery output voltage matches the description written on its label.
and also you can use multimeter to test your power charger.
Rlly good guide bro
Hi.. I have a bug check 0..
Swapped PSU, GPU, and RAM but still restarts randomly..
Reseat my CPU.. Also the same.. I dont have a mother board to swap..
Using
i5-760
Asus P7H55-M PRO
HD6870
Cooler Master GX-750W
HyperX RAM
WD HDD
Updated all drivers using Driver Hub..
Sometimes it restarts over and over again before it gets to the windows start screen.. And even in BIOS..
Should I throw my rig down the drain? So frustrating..
What happen to your pc it is resolved right now?
michael sentones i ended up replacing the mobo cpu ssd n gpu.. but I strongly believe that it was caused due to the cpu not supporting my ram frequency..i used higher ram frequency than recommended in the specs from intel..
So If I have a 0 in the event page is It correct to say that the PSU Is my problem?
So I just built a ryzen 1700x machine gtx 1080 corsair ax760 corsair h100i aio 16 gb 3200 ram. I have been having this issue since June last year. I rma the whole thing piece by piece even the damn case got it all back together in December started doing it again the 14th . I have done everything you have in the software side just did it again actually. now I'm testing the ram, I did the powershell came back negative and I dont have a onboard gpu but I have tried another gpu it still does it . I'm stuck
hello carl
thank you for your comment.
whats your event data's log? can you take a screen shot from it?
if its zero i can say that its been caused by two reasons
1-if you have a modular PSU chack those cable again thoroughly. every psu that i've seen (price is not a actor) comes with cheap made cables that only lasts for a short period.
2-your cpu. take it out and put it back in again.
that piece of hardware has hundreds of contact plates and the pins on your motherboard and if on accident you've bent one of those.....
InDepth I have had everything apart I have replaced everything
So all my problems were related to a bad power supply that I replaced twice
did replacing power supply fix your problem?

In the ending of january it decided turn off until buy a ney mobo. But, some days ago I turned it on to check if it was with the same issue, but it worked regulary for almost a week. And now returned to do it. Can someone help me?

When my system starts normally, it was giving this this critical error. kernel Power 41 error...ON STARTUP? I mean, what the actual fuck?
if it's a new system usually a poor assembling is the reason. if it's not as you know the system creates a lot of heat and most of the system's wiring are made out of plastic and sometimes this heat affects the 6-pins and 4-pins connectors, if they move a little, that's bad news.
