Frankly, had Mrinal sen made the documentary ' The Inner Eye' on legendary artist Binod Bihari Mukhopadhyay, that would not as brilliant as made by Satyajit Ray. Reasons being,
1. Binod Bihari was the art teacher
of Satyajit at Kalavhavana,
Shantiniketan. T'fore, Satyajit
knew the artist too intimately.
2. It was a tribute to the 'master'
from the student.
3. With due respect, to mention that,
artistic, esthetic sense in Satyajit
was considerably more than
Mrinal sen, which was definitely a
key factor in making this kind of
film.
In an interview, Mrinal sen commented, 'I cannot operate camera artistically'. which is evident in his most films.
Satyajit dextrously made Apur Sansar, Charulata and opposite films like Protiwandi, Sadgati👌👏
My heartfelt respect to Binod Bihari Mukhopadhyay, Satyajit Ray, Mrinal Sen 👏🙏👌
