By the way on the digital display models you can show them by service mode by holding spin button when off and turning to cotton (of course) but while the dile is off you can also hold thirst and second option button (left to right) and it shows amount of cycles completed and any errors. you can also check any errors mid cycle by pressing first and last option button (do all of these for about 3 secs apart from servise mode)

    Loving your teaching methods,
I am known to fix everything to my capabilities without endangering my life from electrocution , hate throwing items, its criminal the way Britain have learnt to be a throw away nation,
The companies who make the machines today need the government stepping in to stop manufactures building such machines that are becoming harder to repair or cheaper to buy new rather than repair, its a disgrace , PROFIT PROFIT PROFIT that`s all its about ,
But what people don`t realize if we ever had a war where we always need metal , copper, steel brass , the factories would be turned into weaponry factories and white goods would be the last thing on our countries mind to make , just like its been proven in every world war,
This may never be in my life time but the way the world is going you never know whats around the corner, a world war may never happen but some thing else may effect the readily availability to white goods and then your skills on repairing items would come very use full again if you new how.
I kept my washer going for 20 years nearly everything was changes 3-4 times until the body became so rusty in places it was dangerous, so I stripped it and through the body away, I learnt quite allot through that machine,
But I was always stumped when it suffered an electrical issue not the mechanical side, that`s where asking people where more likely is the fault on the electrical side,
As most mechanical parts these days have electrical devices that get controlled by PC board and many safety components are fitted and go easy as they are meant to so no fire occurs ` its becoming more harder to find the issue, unless you know how to get codes up or know how to read them.
I am slowly learning the electrical side witch can be a pain but if we need to stop throwing items away due to one little issue on the PC Boards mainly, and save a lot of money , we have to get on board with the modern Technology and learn, then pass on to the youngsters so they become knowledgeable ,
I know eventually washing machines will become unfix able if the manufacturers carry on building them the way its going,
If a manufacturer wasn`t making money from selling parts they would stop , but they would have to make a machine cheap enough to be thrown away as soon as it wears within a couple of years,
At least there is a British company that makes a reparable washing machine and has a hot water connection as well a big thumbs up to them,
I think every machine should come with a repair manual not only the basic but on the PC Boards, if you choose to pay little extra , and you void your warranty if you choose to receive the booklet.
This would not eradicate engineers , as you tube has been around for years and forums they still get plenty of work , But for people like me who loves repairing my own stuff as money is never available when items brake its a god sent to only pay for parts no labor cost or call out charge
and a sense of achievement repairing it your self,
There` is a question to any one out there who may know the answer,as I can`t put on a forum as I have trouble figuring out how to place questions on them,
As I have a BEKO WDX8543130B Machine that does not have a emergency drainage pipe coming from the pump housing, and sick of it when it goes down placing a tray and towels down still flooding my floor, when unscrewing the front pump filter cap.
I want to know is there any reason why I cannot buy a pump housing with the pipe connection then ,twist lock this to my other half of the pump, and if it matches ,but if there`s no match, I will buy a pump from a similar machine,as long as all the voltage / ohms/ amps etc match, ten fit that,
Then drill a hole into the bottom of my panel fit a grommet into the hole to stop pipe cutting into the metal, feed small drainage pipe through then clip the tube to a little plastic holder,
This may look a bit weird but I have no kick plate but it will beat flooding my floor when machine decides to stop mid way from a fault and I have to drain it,
My main concern is the pressure switch would this be effected in any way or not?
