43:57 When a dropship unloads marines, they disembark one by one. However, when they need to escape, they can board simultaneously. This inconsistency should be fixed. nerf terran
It should actually be the other way around logistically. Boarding a plane is harder than jumping out of it. They should all jump out simultaneously but have to board one by one.
31:15 i always like watching range units with Melee attacks use those melee attacks. Is part of the reason Warhounds remain my favorite unit in the game.
I just had a thought but isn't just stealing much more impactful? If the probe keeps stealing a mineral, then gas, then mineral again he could do that forever, so theoretically as long as the probe is alive it can probably delay ling speed for maybe 6-8 seconds? That's kind of huge
It's always interesting to see the offense/defense dynamic play out in SC2. Pros, Cons, and the tradeoffs between the two. Not to take away from his other skills, but Classic just has such a mind for the defensive action. It's honestly absurd, but if that was all it took, I'd see him more often in Winter's grand final show match videos.
Protoss is also in a weak state at the highest lvl, So its not strange that even classic has difficulty with the offencive. (Check out the finals of sc2 the last year or 2 and you'll see its mainly zerg and terran)
@@Warmolt48 what the hell are you even talking about? 2024 had 7 majors so far, and in 4 of them P were finalists. 2023 had 20, P was in 10 finals. 2022 had 19, P was in 13 finals, even Reynor played P as offrace because Zerg was terrible at that time. 2021 had 24, P was in 15 finals. P has been more than adequately represented in major finals. And even if they weren't, how can you possibly draw the conclusion that the race is weak just from finals winrates without taking secondary data points into account, such as the representation the race has in these tournaments? You're making the same mistake as those 'zerg op' complainers from last year. Just because the same 2 players are destroying the competition doesn't mean the race is too strong, look at the rest of the players in the tournament. They were not only few, but they were getting destroyed very early into the tournament too. Stop looking at winrates and take the bigger picture into account. The first indication that a race is too weak is if it's underrepresented in majors, not if they don't win the finals.
every game I watch i still can't help but think that Ghosts should not be able to snipe Ultra. Ultra's in a large number should be a pure counter to bio; Ghosts are too good vs zerg imo.
Ultras are not purpose built to counter Bio, Mauraduers are designed to counter them and Zerg would insta-win in the late game if they couldn't. I agree Ghosts are a bit strong, but out-right removing their ability to target Ultras is too much. Nerfing Ghosts by 10HP would be a good place to start, or weakening snipe from 130 to 120 damage, meaning it takes an extra snipe to kill an Ultra. These small changes have a big impact at pro level.
also ghosts can be dealt with, its just only one zerg who can: serral every buff and nerf you apply in the game, you have to consider that goes for serral too. burrow infestors are pretty much the only way to do it but it can be done

I never understood how corsairs broke in the concept in sc2 with a reasonable mineral cost for the fighters but zerg was gifted two and a half freebie spawners between WOTL and HOTS. infested terrans are the only ones that even have an energy requirement.
It's just Blizzard making subpar balance design decisions, don't question it cuz it doesn't make any sense. They are known for having pretty bad game balance teams, look at WoW too.
I don't know a lot of things, but one thing I do know: Probes do not have noses. Maybe you skipped this cut scene in Legacy of the Void, but I watched Phase Smith Karax lovingly pick up and repair a probe after Mobius Core attacked the Spear of Adun. The probe did not have a nose. Check your unit roster in the solar core ;) ^_^
I love that in Game 2 Dark basically just predicted that Classic would transition to a different composition - if Classic had just built more of the same instead of transitioning, the mid-game fights might have gone better. Oops...
That's why you don't build mass stalker vs mass zerglings. Sure, you can make it look close with forcefields and stasis wards, but it only takes one mistake vs a A-moving zerg
Noob here. Why do Protoss pro players prioritize attack upgrades so much? They sometimes get to 3-0-0 very quickly, before starting armour or shields upgrades. What's the math?
Hard to get good value splitting between armor and shield upgrades, and you have some of the best damage mitigation spells between forcefield, guardian shield, and blink
In addition to what the people above said, there is another consideration: armor only helps when your units are taking damage, and a large part of the game is about dealing damage one-sidedly. For stuff like attacking undefended outposts, or base trade scenarios, armor is (almost) irrelevant. And in straight up fights 2/0/0 vs 1/1/0 doesn't make a huge difference.

The reasons why infested terrans feeled too powerful or too weak are the same reasons swarm hosts have the same problems, require too much conditions to be useful in a normal game that not always can be. I think it's needed a rework of the swarmhosts, maybe making them like a long range carrier, making the locusts cost minerals or even making the locusts unable to move away from a certain range of the swarm host
And it's not even close to being the only dumbly designed unit out there. Swarm Hosts, Widow Mines, Banelings, Disruptors, Ghosts, hell even the Medivac boost are all units and abilities that make absolutely no sense. They're too easy to use vs how hard they are to counter which makes gameplay feel dumb.
I think you're being a bit too harsh. Classic doesn't have the same amount of info that we have. I'm guessing he underestimated the amount of workers he killed and thus didn't know he had the option to stay back and outgrow Dark. Also, Classic has been playing very well lately - he clearly diversified his strategy from the days of "rush tier 3 every game". And I'm not even a fan of his, or a Protoss player myself :)
swarms should be rebalanced a bit imo. a bit of dmg cso now they kill stuff too quickly, a bit of hp on the mosquitoes so a prepared deffence will be more viable.. Alternatively if intereceptors cost money then swarms also can cos like 5 minerals per volley we can then reduce a bit of the cost/supply
Imo SH are not very strong atm, even though they can be very annoying in the right hands, but they do not contribute much to actual fights unless you trap the enemy army. SH are insanely obnoxious to play against though, because a single mistake will easily lose you a nexus or CC (potentially even more) and it's not like it's easy to prevent such mistakes from happening. Imo their current design is just not very good; weak unit all in all but hard to play against and obnoxious too. Then again, that can be said about a ton of terran cheeses too, that's just a starcraft thing.
@@ddenozor they dont care about speed cos you nydus them around. I also proposed change of supply? However the locust dmg should be nerffed or it shoould cost minerals. its too easy to snipe nexuses
They're quite weak and barely used, why would you nerf them again? I have a feeling you're actually complaining about the unit's actual design. When a unit is balanced or even slightly weak (like the SH is) yet it still feels bad to play against, then it's conceptually broken and needs a redesign. With that I agree, and I'd put lots more units in that category (Widow Mines, Banelings, Ghosts, etc).
@@xIcarus227 why do you consider nerf If you make a unit weaker but reduce the cost and supply? The SH are at the moment weak just cos the insane dmg and their free units generation can skyrocket out of control. Imo if we remove voidray and SH the game would be better.
90% of virgins: oh no on X, Y Z units are actually viable, you have to play the meta theres no room for banelings after the nerf, swarm hosts are garbage, ect Dark: Lol, Lmao.
Because Zerg has the least amount of players qualifying in majors, which is the first indicator that a race might be weaker than normal. And because their winrates in GM is actually very bad right now (44% vs Terran, 45% vs Protoss). That's why you're wrong.
i sorta feel like Swarm Hosts might need to have their Supply cost bumped up by 1. The fact that you can have a functioning army and also a squad of pseudo-uncounterable swarm hosts at the same time feels unfair when it's executed right. The counter to Swarm Hosts should probably be just go knock on their front door and force them to use the Hosts to help defend because they cannot afford to just siege for free while you're attacking them.
