    the way the sound moves from left to right in my headphones as the graph moves across the x axis is actually pretty mesmerizing (and that rickroll was so impressive I wasn’t even annoyed)

      for me its very icky because i HATE hearing sound specifically only in my left ear, it instantly tickles my whole body and i physically cringe, i cannot watch asmr lol
      i just took my headphones off not even a minute into the video because its making me uncomfortable as HELL

      @@YackalipsDesmos I'm not that surprised tbh… You showed that you used tan, mod, and floor the most, so playing with those 3 functions would be the best place to start finding the equation back. The next step would be playing with constants to fine tune the results 🤷‍♂️. It's math, not black magic 😅.

    I would like to see this but instead of Y-value assigning pitch, the actual shape of the graphs became the wave tables of a synthesizer. This means the shape of the graph would represent the actual pressure waves that travel the the air, the actual sound, the qualities of the sound you here would directly come from the shape, instead of the shape being assigned to play a pre-generated sound at certain pitches. This would produce some very very interesting sounds.

      I tried it, if you use the summation formula with a_n = a^n*cos(b^n*pi*x) then it sounds pretty much the same after the upper limit of the sum goes above 2

    Idk why but the first one sound really cool, sounds like the beginning to a cool futuristic game soundtrack or something, like looking out the window, it’s raining, you are staring down the city street from the 10th floor, there are cars driving by and the city lights are glowing on the red roads.

    Suggestion:
    f(x)=1/(-100-x+100+x)
    Yes, it's 1/0, but due to floating point number errors desmos graphs it as a pure blue screen. Sounds like white noise when played.
