a little trick for faster acceleration from a stand still: place car is sport plus, use your paddle shift starting at first then rev to max before clicking up to second and so on... probably zero to sixty in under 7 seconds.... but who cares right? this car if for you and your lovely... enjoy
I have this car (a 2018) and I still don't get what the difference is between sport and sport + mode
Thanks for the honest review!
i bought this car, it was honestly just for the looks , I'm not that into performance and that is probably who buys these cars lol. i mean think the 4 banger is fast enough for street driving.
Imo, off the line performance is where 4 cylinder is felt less robust. Otherwise its golden
Crazy yesterday I was going to buy the car got the papers also almost done until I realized it was a turbo and didn’t like it all but I wished the car didn’t come with turbo and was a like quick I think my Honda Accord felt faster
@@yungactivist lexus is very expensive, if you want a v8 you will have to pay close to 40k for a used one and 50k a lightly used one and 70k+ for a new one. it is what it is. you could get a v6 and supercharge it.
@@Shadow-lq7rx yeah I’m leaning toward that if not I’ll just get a mustang gt. Thanks
@@yungactivist just remember a car will not make you ultimately happy. Its a never ending ego trap, many men get caught in. its really just a pissing contest. i would suggest getting into something cheaper and buying outright and keeping for 10 years. The lexus ct200h would be a good option for that. then the money you save can be spent on stocks, and business adventures.
Most Lexus designs I don't care for but this ride looks sharp
Great review.
5 stars in storage? are you high? theres not even a spot to leave your phone, the door cubbies are insanely tiny too! even the arm armrest storage is shallow.
He should be in top gear
Excellent review. Great attention to the price to gas ratio, exactly what I'm looking at.
toyota should put that engine in a next generation fr-s or celica! I would buy one. I also think the engine is based off the 2.0 turbo that lexus runs in the super gt gt500 race series!!
No you wouldn't. This is the quintessence of youtube comments. Everybody would buy that or this or wouldn't. But the fact is, those are all talks.
Great review loved the vid. I'm doing my homework on the RC now to what fits best for me & that V6 is looking more promising at this moment. Thanks again. 🤜🤛
Wow, $50k for a car with such horrible turbo lag and bad fuel economy seems like a high price.
It's a luxury brand, duh...😧 Hope you'll say the same thing with its German luxury competitors unless your a German car brand fan boy...
Well aa for German sedans - they don't have such a bad fucking economy and turbo lag..
kagolko BUT they do have a BAD/POOR RELIABILITY in the long run base on personal experience - got brand new MB and BMW back then but sold those because of reliability issues!...
What about VW's fuel economy issues, huh???...😑
People don't buy the 200t for performance. -that's what the RCF is for. Almost all turbo models of any brand get poor MPG when you're in boost most of the time. As commuter, I average 29 MPG in Los Angeles rush hour traffic with the 200t. I strictly picked this car for comfort, looks, reliability and fuel economy.
Kalgolo, I think you are speaking too fast there. Go to the spritmonitor website and look what the Audi A5, The Mercedes C-class and BMW 4er series with same output and kind of engine, will do in MPG. Their numbers are the same, even when the 200T is allegedly more heavy than all of them.
Good honest review. The RC is based on 3 Lexus line-ups.The front is GS, the middle borrowed from IS convertible due to it's rigid structure and the rear from IS.The car is heavy as the middle is reinforced for rigidity that makes is safe as well. It is a Luxury Touring cope. Lexus owners do like the luxury ride and hence Lexus keeps that in mind to appeal to that particular demand.
"Other luxury brands."
*Cough* Acura/Honda *cough*. lol
Every tester is all about 0-60! Why is that? Lots of people like comfort, quiet and handles good! Why do you think the camry sells so many cars? One of the most important things to me in a car is the seats, I want comfortable and have a car that I can drive 200 plus miles in a day and not be crippled up when I get there. So get off the speed and tell us about how good the car drives on the highway and in the city......not really interested in stop light to stop light racing!
Thanks for the review good job. Now I know I don't want to buy one of those SLOW four cylinder rc 200t!!! With those Great Looks and the thing is a slug!
NO WAY! ..All show & NO go!
Give me that V6 or V8! Toyota makes the best Japanese cars..But what were they thinking putting a 4-cylinder in that beautiful car!
I’m tossing about selling my EVO X to buy rc350 or the T lol I’m scared I’ll fall asleep behind the wheel 😅
They would really have needed a B58 in this thing.
0-60 12 seconds per video.
0-60 took around 11 seconds !!
"mother's milk the cats meow" haha love it
got a turbo on it so it be OK . of course
