Hi Montell. I’m a 15 yrs old girl - I believe I was lead to your channel at like 12/13 yrs old, And I believe that was for a reason because you and I kinda share the same gift of music. God has given me the gift to song write songs - produce/make songs (ive used different kinds of music softwares, free ones although) but nobody accept my family know I have this gift. When I first joined my church I hid this gift - the gift to sing - yet God expanded my gift I guess and so I started playing bass guitar at 13 at my church. Nobody at my church knows I know how to sing write song (in my old church I used to lead the songs with the kids but that was when I was like 8) and over the years I’ve become really closed up and shy and less confident in the gift God has given to me. At the same time I feel really hesitant. I wanted to start a soundcloud again and upload music there but I don’t want to become prideful and do it for self glory (and tbh I just pray that if God wants you to see this comment you see it if He doesn’t want you to I really hope you don’t) cause I don’t want to be prideful and all that - and I guess that’s one of the reasons I don’t tell anyone because I feel like God is moulding and cultivating my gift - I’m writing songs - but if you could also give me advice on how you like figure out what chords to you cause I don’t play normal guitar I play bass it I also wanna learn how to implement that into the bass guitar I want it to be unique. But yeah I don’t know times I feel like God is telling me to just cultivate my gift- at times like a bit more lately He’s telling me to not hide my gift (im really not sure) but yeah I just don’t want this to be about self-glorification but instead glorify God And if you know any free soft wares to produce music you could recommend that would be cool cause I still want to cultivate this gift regardless - I’m still fighting songs more frequently - I’m also try a find my voice - I don’t want it to be a copy of someone else’s but my own - tryna find my music style sound. I don’t really know.

Just discovered this video, not sure if you're still working with them but man, this brought me so much joy!! King's Kaleidoscope has been my favorite band for the past few years and I found out about you through a song you did with Jonathan Ogden- love your collabs! Also, I work at PBA and came to the Anchor that night you visited with Ecclesia- didn't get to meet you because I had a night class to get to but I definitely had to get one of your t-shirts. Anywho, I have so much respect for you as an artist and a follower of Christ. So thankful for your honesty and desire to be real and raw and aim to pursue Christ in everything. One of the things that drew me to your music was your lyrics and the vibe that just strikes a cord with feelings and struggles I've personally experienced in my walk. So thank you for using the gifts God has given you to create quality art that leads people to Him. Your faithfulness in your work is evident. Also, your story on how working with King's Kaleidoscope is such an encouragement- how God gave you the desires of your heart as you sought first His kingdom. Thankful for this video!
