Great review Tosh. McFarlane has been killing it, this 89 Batman 2 pack and the Knight Fall release, it’s been fun collecting recently!
I got this Saturday morning, and yes I double dipped, but I'm giving the previous one to my friend for free.
The chest symbol needs a black oval outline to be film accurate. Curious why they didn't mold it in black and paint the yellow.
Painting light colors over dark doesn’t always come out the best.
Agreed. I'm not sure how I feel about the neck pivot. Still cool though.
Neck pivot wasn’t on the OG 89 Batman it’s also the gold label that’s why they didn’t put the black outline on the outside of the emblem which sucks not a complete deal breaker but would’ve been better. I have a OG 89 Batman that would fit perfectly gotta love toys R us when I was growing up in the 90’s
Got mine sitting on my porch! Something cool to look forward to after work.
For real people complaining about the neck joint forget this figure has a diaphragm joint.

Really enjoyed this review. Thanks for calling out reviewer issues with head-turning. I don't understand why they're complaining that he CAN TURN his head now. That's so petty and nitpicky.
Batman centered in the cockpit looking out of the window with a giant vertical bar in the middle obstructing his view 😂

My glow in the dark Swamp Thing was delayed a couple weeks ago and the Batmobile was delayed today, I foresee them being cancelled unfortunately.
My swamp thing has been delayed for a week or so now and I fear the same thing

I love how McFarlane makes, like, 6 of these. 4 of which go straight to eBay for WAYYY more than they should. Oh well....still looks awesome
Great review, this is one I was looking for! This figure definitely dethroned my SDCC Knightfall Batman as my favorite McFarlane figure to date! I would have loved some extra flame effects too!
Wondering if the cosmic ghost rider flame will fit.
The only thing preventing me from getting it is the neck. It doesn't look like Burton's Batman. The Flash's Bat-Keaton looked more like it.
Great review. Kinda regretting not getting this now, even though I'd have nowhere to put the Batmobile. The Keaton figure looks waaay better than the product photos, so hopefully he gets a single release in the future. Or better yet... A full '89 wave.

He definitely needed some flame effects, especially so he could deep fry some criminals
Mine got lost in the mail and got corrected and supposed to be here tomorrow or Saturday. Figures it’s always the hard to get items I have trouble with when it comes to Amazon. The flash Batmobile came with two of the same fins. Someone does not want me to have this vehicle easily.
@Kdawg1287 I know how you feel Amazon just told me again for the 2nd time in 2 days that my approval was needed to approve an order delay on their part, I really hope it isn’t a long delay before it’s shipped. I also really hope the comment the other guy made in the comments isn’t right, I don’t want more order to be cancelled especially because of all of the efforts we make as fans just to pay our hard earned money, despite not being apart of specialty programs through advertising and promoting we are all equally paying customers. I agree we all deserve our products at the same time.
@@theunphasable exactly. This is an Amazon exclusive. There should be no need as there’s no fighting for an allotted stock from other major retailers. This should have been handled swiftly and easily with no delays.

The Flash Batman has the correct size of neck

I'm glad you're happy with it, but it's not replacing my Neca Keaton. He looks too bulky, like a stuntman in the suit rather than Michael, and that mimics the black rubber look much better. I might go for the Batmobile on its own.
I would have loved to own this but of course it was a competition and not a simple sales transaction like it should be. How to make this sort of thing fair, so that everyone who wants one can get one? Take presale orders for at least a few weeks, then make them. It would take longer to receive them but it would make many more people happy. Or how about when something sells out immediately make more because you know that there is a bigger demand.
This Batmobile looks so good! Can't wait to receive this, and yep looks like I'm gonna end up with two Batmobiles having The Flash version also...oh well...lol.

I bought the flash batmobile, do you think it's worth looking for the 89 batmobile or better costume, the one I have with matte black paint
I love how you chuckle about having two batmobiles, I'm getting I'm super lucky to have them vibes haha. I love that Matt black color, looks so cool. The glossy one is cool too imo. I'm not too crazy about the 89 bats, but I'll be a liar if I said I didn't want it in my collection. 💯

Crap, I didn't even realize this was going on sale. Now it's too late. I'll never get to pick this up. Not a chance in hell I'm paying scalper prices. They probably won't make more. Even though I"m sure a ton of people that want this weren't able to get it. I guess Todd likes to support the ahole re-seller community. Would love to see him make enough to allow everyone who wants it to get it though. And give a giant middle finger to the scaplers.

Yep, and Amazon handled the pre orders poorly. The first time it came out, they allowed the regular 99 items limit. The second time 30 limit. The final time a week later, it was finally OK at 3 per customer. So the scalpers had an easy time hoarding the stocks.
I feel like Mezco one 12 has a better Batman figure the only selling point in the Batmobile

Was yours missing the collector card? Mine vame with scuff marks all over the abdomen too.
The neck definitely looks weird. The old figures had that clip on cape around his neck, so you can barely see the articulation.
What about the upper diaphragm articulation?
I got the first release Batmobile and I'm content with that. But I need that Keaton Batman figure!!! And I also want Kilmer and Clooney!!!

I promise you, Amazon has no clue we have channels and there are channels that did not get their vehicle. Just because you saw a video doesn’t mean all channels got one. 😂

I am absolutely in awe, that all these years later we finally have not only a 1989 Keaton Batman with cloth cape, but a Batmobile for him to ride around in with detailed cockpit 🥹🖤🦇🔥

This 2-pack Batman seems to be more accurate than the 6 pack of the other Batman movie toys.

I find this one More Keaton-esque🤔 *ears need to a tad straightened out though.
Also? I really wish we’d be able to get pop open machine guns or even a missle launcher (yes, I know that wasn’t in the film, but still would be awesome!) on this Batmobile.
Wonder if a 1989 Batwing is doable/coming out?

Almost for this release, it needs leds lights, spring pop up machine guns, and a two seater canopy with leds in them, i didn't pull the trigger on it, it's a close solid release, or you can customize it?🙄Good review.

You didn't talk about the ears that look like bent. Which is not movie accurate and that worries me. Heck the 6 pack keaton bat rars is straight and ponty

So many ppl complained about Flash’s make shift Batsuit, the head and neck being combined. It was literally accurate to both movies. And if it was a separate piece, they would’ve still complained.
Not available on European Amazon...complete BS. I went and bought the Jada toys 1:32 model instead. McFarlane did not handle this well, but the item does look great. In your video it looks gray, Is it darker in hand? This vehicle should be black IMO.
This car sold out in minutes. I know some people getting notices their order is being delayed...ie canceled. I'd like to get one but amazon has doubled the price on it thru various sellers. Can't belive people who want it cant get it at the regular price. Stuff like this sours me on the whole toy collecting thing. I did have the pricey spinmaster rc batmobile but returned it after 2 days because things didn't work as they should. And this preorder stuff where you pay ahead then have to wait months to get your product.......things were better and more fun years ago.
The neck sculpt is terrible, it looks more like Bale Batman than Tim Burton's Batman. It's strange because they already had a good Burton Batman neck sculpt when they released The Flash Bat-Keaton. I don't know why they didn't use that.
This does not look like the original 1989 Batman. McFarlane was too obsessed with putting mussels on this figure.

Sometimes I wonder if the ridiculous stuff RUclips reviewers say is because they get free stuff to shill? Like, moving the head is cool, but that pointless cut in the throat area that visually ruins the sculpt is absolutely terrible. They'll still send you free toys to shill admitting it. Lol
