In one of the most amazing finishes at any level, Partizan won its fourth consecutive Adriatic League title by edging Cibona 74-75 in overtime in front of a sellout crowd in Zagreb, Croatia 2010. Dusan Kecman became the game hero with a midcourt buzzer-beating three-pointer that allowed Partizan to lift the trophy in unbelievable fashion. Cibona trailed 68-72 with seconds left but back-to-back triples by Marko Tomas and Bojan Bogdanovic gave their team a 74-72 edge with 0.6 seconds left, but Kecman stole the show right when it mattered. Kecman sank a shot that will go down in history as one of the most incredible ones in Adriatic League history.

One unwritten and very well-known rule in sports is to not celebrate a victory until the game is actually over. Croatian basketball team Cibona Zagreb didn't follow that principle in the NLB Championship game against Serbian team KK Partizan. After a pair of missed free throws from Partizan, Cibona raced up the court and nailed a three-pointer from the baseline to take a one-point lead. Although there were still 0.6 seconds left, Cibona celebrated on the court.
But the game was not over, as the celebrators would soon learn. Dusan Kecman of Partizan heaved a 75-footer with time expiring and banked it in for the improbable victory.

it was not only a game winning shot, it was a championship winning shot. and to be fair to the coach of the losing team. he was the only one not celebrating. he was urging players to play defense and when the shot hit he looked at his players like "what were you guys thinking"

Huge technicality, but the shot was illegal. Instead, Partizan should have won by like.... 5 more points.
1) Cibona should have been assessed a technical foul for every team member/staff that stormed the field. Ball is still in play after a shot - Partizan just has to inbounds the ball within 5 seconds.
2) I saw at least 1 bench player, 1 trainer, and 1 assistant get onto the court to hug Cibona's players. There's your win right there. There were probably more people, so even more free throws should have been awarded.
3) This would have been extremely tedious, and honestly it was a lot easier and more exciting (along with a good lesson) to just count the three.
TL;DR Shot was illegal, but outcome was the same. More exciting to just count the 3-ball.

Thank you so much, I'm not sure why people assume a tenth of a second is a millisecond, which is a completely different measurement.
Though, the original comment could still work, as a millisecond is still a measurement, and it could count in a game. Even milliseconds didn't count then he used the word "believe" which may be a dumb belief but it makes his statement correct.
I doubt he meant the latter though, so thank you for the correction.

Um, i think the clock is irrelevant, the amount of time given means he gets only one shot so its like when the ball is thrown time stops? But once it hits the floor THEN the 0.6 comes into play.

Guy in charge of time measuring is from Croatia though... He was quoted saying that "he couldn't steal 0.6 seconds" and that "he regrets that Cibona didn't win". Cibona is probably the only club in human existence that appealed saying they should have been penalized with a technical foul.
