Carrots, beets, lettuce, and spinach are plants that can help deter pests, such as onion flies and thrips, that are known to attack onions. Hope this helps your problem and you don't just cut back your abundance.❤ Love your channel!

The Greek oregano will fix your problem!! I did common oregano for the first 2 years of gardening and thought it was so boring. Greek oregano is 1000x better in flavor and scent. I love watching your onion harvests every year. If I had more space, I would definitely want to grow them, but I don't want to give up the space for them this year. haha :) It's going to be a big tomato year

oh yay, glad to hear the greek oregano might have more flavor! i totally get it - onions are a staple crop, but not exactly as exciting as all the different types of tomatoes haha. we're amping up our tomatoes this year, too! hope we both have a good tomato year :)

I’m in zone 7 as well. You need to start your ginger and tumeric now otherwise it will be too late

our ground doesn't usually freeze for too much of the winter, but i usually aim for 1 month before our last frost, depending on how the weather is going in the early spring and if it's not too much below freezing at that point!
