Thank you. Along with some referencing to the Old Testament, the YLT really helped me get a clearer understanding of Romans 8 and 9.

I do like Young's Literal Bible, although it's a bit like if you find the KJV to be too easy of a read you can challenge yourself with the YLB. it's also interesting to find the shortened version of JEHOVAH, JAH, especially in the Psalms.

Yehovah is a more accurate pronunciation because the letter "J" no longer makes the sound of "Y" in English, the letter "j" used to be pronounced like a "y" in Old English. It was not until around the 17th century that the modern pronunciation of the letter "j" as we know it today became standardized in the English language.

@@That_one_introvert. I agree, with the exception of the word hallelujah. But on the other hand if you call God YEHOVAH or YAHWEH but continue to call Jesus Jesus then you're taking the name of God out of the name of Jesus, for Jesus means JEHOVAH saves. Actually almost every name in the Bible with a J means JEHOVAH something or other.

This translation is a good reference. My main Bible is the KJV but I've been learning Hebrew for a few years through the Hebrew Interpolated Study Bible (HiSB) on MySword which is an interlinear. I find it helps clarify Hebrew thought easier.
