Hi Sunsynk. Might I offer a suggestion for another UK setting?
Perhaps include a minimum DC input wattage before the inverter boots up. That way when the sun comes up or goes down, the inverter isn't running solely to cover the losses.
For example I can sometimes get 3w early evening from moon light, my inverter uses circa 40w to convert the 3w to useable power so is running at a loss.
    I hope that makes sense.

I would check your electricity meter to see if it is actually wasting the 40W - from my experience this reading is not accurate

An observation of using the low power mode. My battery dropped below my set low battery and the inverter went into low power mode. An hour later my system timer was due to grid charge my battery, but because I was in low power mode my system timer was over written.

Is there a way to use this with time of use tariffs? I want to put the system in low power mode when the battery drops to 20% but grid charge a couple of hours before the cheap rate slot ends. From what this video is saying that isn’t possible but that would be a very good feature?

Good day Keath, thank you for all your videos they really help me…
I just have a question, do you have something on to set your inverter to disconnect from the grid when power is below 219 and higher than 245 for an x amount of time? As we get random spikes and this goes over 250 volts

I suppose the down side of using the low power setting is that if you were to rely on the sunsynk portal as a tool to monitor your import the figures won't be correct, as when it is being used as a pass through the import isn't recorded on the portal. I must say though that this is an acceptable compromise, as for me saving every watt is the reason for having the system 👍

    Please explain the following:
When looking at the main screen on time 4.38 of video Grid power shows 0Watts from grid, but when entering the value screen on time 4.42 the gridpower shows 20W which is understandible, BUT if you look at the Amps it shows 1.3A. So multiplying the 1.3A x 223V = 289.9Watt - This is a huge concern, there should be minimal to no draw from the grid. In South Africa 289.9W - 20W (set) = 269.9W * 24hrs = 6.47kWhrs per day = R 14 per day @ R2.2/kWh this equates to R 5195 per year. Drawing power from the grid????? Please assist in clarifying

My inverter is showing about 230w on the UPS figure all the time, no idea why, theres nothing connected to the load outputs, can you help sort this please? It has just had latest firmware and its still doing it.

Very good. A much needed feature! When is this going to be available as a firmware update?

The software files are already available from the Sunsynk portal. If you are not familiar with the web, contact your distributor/seller to install them.

Why would anyone not use all of the charge in the batteries - it seems ridiculous to me to store this energy and never use it... it's like having a 10KWh battery and only using 7.5KWh of it...totally nuts. Having said that, I've set my shutdown to 0% and the batteries will never let me use the last 10% for some strange reason. Must be a bug in your firmware that needs looking at URGENTLY.

Can anyone else hear the high pitched background sound coming from the inverter

To be fair, I have the 8kw and it's not really that noticable. 👍 Just consider where you install it if your susceptible to annoyance.
