Bishop Walter Hawkins and Edwin Hawkins will NEVER be forgotten for their GREAT contribution to the gospel music industry. Such prolific and profound musical gifting. They gave me and my sisters so much. I'll forever love The Hawkins Family, Singers and Love Center Choir.
I felt the same way. I started listening to this family way back in the 70s.I still love listening to them. God bless you and your entire family forever and ever. And the Hawkins also.
This is truly beautiful. It's unknown to us outsiders why their marriage didn't last, but one thing is FACT: they loved each other unconditionally. Even when they divorced they continued to tour, collaborate and perform together. And it is oh so rare that you find a divorced couple having nothing but loving and kind words to say about each other. I believe they were always meant to be together divorced or not.
Sometimes we are just too young to be married and handle the ups and downs. My first marriage didn't work but we have two wonderful children and my second husband and I have been together for over 45 years and married for nearly 37. We have parented five children successfully and my husband, my ex, his wife and all of the children talk with each other.
This brings tears!!!!! I miss Walter!!!! I grew up on the beginning of their journey. I love the entire Love Alive Family. Irregardless of what happened in his marriage, you can still be civil with each other and PRAISE GOD ANYHOW!!!!

I worked in the gospel industry for a minute some years ago and I was usually able to go up to these singers and introduce myself. However---when I saw Walter, Tramaine and Edwin all walking in the hotel together, I was too stunned to even move. I stared at them so hard and widemouthed that they all smiled and said hello. I can't even remember if I spoke back. Legends that I'd been singing to since I was a CHILD and they are all right in front of me??! omg. Watching this made my heart sad. I missed out on him and Edwin. :(

This man was so gifted, not only could he sing,write,direct and he was a great preacher. This clip or video is hard for me to watch. He showed so much RAW emotion. The first time he went down he put his hands on her arm. He loved her still. I tear up each time I watch it. He is greatly missed. His music that God gave to him has up lifted a many hearts and remined us of God's love.

My ex and I split a many years but we always keep it real and the kids and grandkids always enjoyed us being around each other. I love this video. Brings tears to my eyes. His love for Tramaine pure and despite of Walter respected Tramaine if they were still as one. To thank her for being part of his life means a lot. True love extends from the heart this videos shows nothing but love.Thank You Lord this video helped me. Everyday I listen to this. My ex and I split a many years but we always keep it real and the kids and grandkids always enjoyed us being around each other. He was sicken with cancer and God in my life I took care of him until death. I use to sit by his hospital bed and cry listening to this tribute. Thank You Lord. ❤❤❤

I listen to them all the time, especially when my heart is heavy.They restore my Joy and bring peace to my Soul besides bringing back so many wonderful memories singing their songs in church.
Wow!! I've been raised on the Hawkins,James Cleveland, Sheryl, specially Mahalia Jackson, PRAISE God the lord used my mother. We send to school an FROM school their was a yellow bus waiting to pick us up an off we went to church. With my grandmother an auntie back then we didn't have much. But We sat back an here these PRAISE songs an I tell you it was so so much love then, I rather be rich in the lord Jesus, Thank you YOU lord for the Hawkins
