Given the storage limitation, at that price you might as well get a Ninja V. This product should cost no more than $150. If it allowed external USB SSD storage then this would be a compelling product.
I do agree, but I this is more minded for the livestreaming industry / recording on a different device. But no, for the most people, this make no sense for the price and storage limitations.
Need 4k and ability to record to external ssd via usb. I understand the slave slave not being supported by usb, but from a utility perspective it doesn’t solve any problems. For serious shooting you still have to carry something like the BM Video Assist or Ninja V
What he said is not entirely accurate. They don’t need slave-slave to connect external SSD. Their device should act as a USB hub connecting the phone to both the capture card and the SSD. The phone will have to read the video stream from the capture device and write it to the SSD.
There are so many other ways to achieve this. I have a camera that allows you to do this without that atomos device. My Accsoon Cineview app allows recording directly to the phone. The Accsoon semo is only $149. You still have the same storage issue. I laughed when he said just buy another iPhone just for recording. So $399 for the ninja phone, $59 for the case and another $1,200 for another iPhone for recording.
Extremely disappointed with Atomos for rolling out this unit without the app download. I ordered the ninja iPhone but it doesn’t work because they haven’t provided a download app for this interface to be useable on my iPhone 15 pro max or iPad Pro. 😢 sadly I’m an Atomos fanboy in every way but this release was premature without a functioning app
the best solution he could pitch was buy another phone which is like $2000 for 1tb I don't think anyone wants this thing that bad its way better ways to stream live with a camera

Agree, it ought have an sd card port to expand capacity, or another usbc for that matter

They should have worked out the external storage option before releasing the product.
Absolutely agree. It’s a missed opportunity
This. Or iPhone should just have an SD card slot. Honestly every phone should!
Seemo 4K has a SD card slot and is less than half the price lmao
@jaycarrie1
@@jaycarrie1 sd is extremely expensive. It must write to ssd.
@@TheNewArtSchool that's 100% wrong
imagine charging 399 and saying "and you get the usb-c cable with it"
Wonder if this could be used just as a viewer for my Sigma FP without attaching a battery to the NP but instead USB-C power from camera or V-Power.
They could have made a 90° cable, the spread is so ugly with those cables...

Switching the button with the USBC port that's right in front of the camera would be better
I was beyond excited until I saw the price. 400 usd is too much in my opinion.
Does it support charging your mobile phone while working?😅
The price it's around 400 pounds in Uk which is very expensive...
“No latency at all” 😂 bold
What's crazy, is the APP on the screen is using the Atomos Cloud Studio, but you can't download that on the iPhone, just your MACBook, lol
3 hours at 1080p for 1TB on the phone. This is not 4K storing.
Even the atomos guy himself is not impressed…can’t wait to go home😅

the heat phone, lol. no thanks
I heard that there will be an iPad support.

Well it seems like no case, that was cancelled.
Not affordable at ALL.
too pricey
Atomos has lose their magic on innovation, $1000 iPhone plus another $399 on this.
It doesn’t come with a monitor at this price range
Not impressed.
😂
NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT RAW CAPABILITY???? WHY??? NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!!!! This is crap
Why are you yelling
why iPhone?! why not literally any there phone?
