Mine had some end movement in the Z stepper and ball screw ... I fixed it with a new flanged 28x12x8 bearing on the underside ... I drilled out the ball screw end and tapped it in my lathe , refitted it and locked the bearing in place with a set screw.
A little bump to this worthy vid, for a novice beginner you have shown very well how one can horse into a carving meaning the machine handled well on so sort of basic settings , if refined then some machining would be worth another chapter meaning showing the type of cutter and and the speeds and feed for the material
@@toddpruit ok cool. The reason I ask is because they have a video of a smaller object with alot of detail in stainless steel. Id like to do larger items with detail. I dont mind going slow because I dont plan on making a lot maybe 1-2 a month but im concerned that it cant do larger items or hard items

Can you add more work tables? Like g44 g55 g56.
Sounds like it started the cut before the spindle was up to speed. Not a good thing, specially on harder materials, super important with aluminum.
From where and how much you bought it? Which version is exactly?
So a year on how do you like it? Still happy? Have you made upgrades? I’m looking at this same machine
