I moved to the Gold Coast. It is a very good city. It is not just the beaches. There is a great diversity of affordable restaurants with cuisine from all over the world. The city is surrounded by beautiful national parks with rain forests and waterfalls. You have Brisbane 1 hour to the north and you have Byron Bay and northern NSW (one of the most beautiful places in Australia) 1 hour to the south. So if you like a city that it not too big, but big enough to have sufficient pubs and restaurants, great beaches, great national parks and multiple nearby driving destinations, Gold Coast is the place to be. There are things that could be improved but the city is moving in the right direction.
My lovely Broadbeach, I miss you 😍 My favorite Madison coffee shop with its amazing cappuccino ☕ and banana bread and butter at the Oasis shopping center. Woolworths with free bananas for kids 😃 fish and chips right across the street 😋
Great video. Australian cities put North American cities to shame. There are so many great walking streets down-under and everything looks so well maintained.
You are lucky person , because you are staying there,I love these all places, thank you very much for making this video,I never see in my life, but I want to stay like this area ,in my place totally different, thank you , thank you very much , for giving me this type of video.
just arrived from the Goldie after a little over a year stranded there.... and this really brought memories back... i knew i missed it but wasnt sure how much i did.. untill this.. but .. " I'll be back!". great video.. great angle and light adjustment.. wouldn't mind another one from surfers if you feel bored this weekend! ha! cheers mate! thanks again
Such a beautiful country. Nice roads with the streets laid out and smooth. Plus such a wide choice of eateries with gorgeous scenery. Thank you for the video.
History of Broadbeach , in the 1950's , it was mainly empty sand dunes land where sand mining took place , in the late 1950's the Broadbeach Hotel was built where the sand mining was undertaken , it them was classed as a white elephant and not profitable and was demolished to build the new high rise complex and shopping centre which you can see in this video In the 1960's some cheap small townhouse units were constructed in the area on land that was selling for very cheap prices , they sold for around $6,000 each or around $42,000 for a block of seven , in 2018 a block of 7 of these townhouses on a small block of land sold for $10 million . Today an upmarket apartment in the area can cost many millions of dollars . Broadbeach is now a very upmarket and classy area and the dining areas appear more busier than Surfers Paradise which is about 2 kilometres away
26:10 - sounded like a female said "....Saturday night. ". Liners have it as a Saturday. I watch these Gold Coast walking tours and it really does look as though they've got that place humming along real nice. Nice families out enjoying the early evenings and the throngs in general. Whoever is running that place had a given accentuation in mind and it at least looks like its working. I'd have thought it nigh impossible for humanity to attain that level of civilisation. When does it all start going to the dogs ? People in 50 years shall start talking time machines and " beam me back to these better times. ".
It is for the tourists, and the rich. If you dont have a family or friends or a job or a car , it is a hellhole. like anywhere else. People come here for holidays and move up here, Then, they are trapped and homesick, cant find a place to live, and the locals have all but moved out. There is no culture, unless you are a surfer, its a horrible mess of sprawled out suburbs and crime.WHAT A SHITHOLE.
If you wanna get a leg up in wealth buy Bitcoin and hoddle. I borrowed the money to get in about 2yrs ago and have an interest of 500% pa so far. We are in a bull run right now and likely to jump 10x in value this yr. I am a pensioner and thank god for BTC. good luck
@@joeldecoster8816 Not really too late. u can buy fractions of bitcoin. 1 btc has 100million satoshis per btc. If u own 0.25btc you will be one of the elites in the future. Or second choice is to buy one Ethereum for approx $3,000,or buy a fraction of eth.and sit on it for a couple of yrs. U need to understand the 4yr cycle of btc.and the halvening effect. Check out what is plan B. good luck
Awesome to see people living their lives normally again over there. Beautiful place.
2:24 I'm working that restaurant lol 😂

Look at the beauty of the region from the beauty and kindness of its residents

It looks white and gentrified as hell.
