Thanks for another great video MeGee. I like hammock camping in heavy thunder storms. The sound of a loud tree branch snapping and hitting the ground near my camp is always a rude awaking. Don't worry about the car noises, that's just the way it is now days for us that do not have a place to go where there is no noise pollution. no worries about not making a fire, there has been plenty of times I have not made a fire due to hot weather. I loved the rainstorm OMGOODNESS it looked totally wicked, like a scary movie 🎬 when it goes black and you can't see anything then the lightning would lite up the sky again and it would be different like the man standing in yours that kept getting closer every time the sky lit up. You made that look awesome, you just sat the camera down and went out and moved towards the camera, you made it look awesome, I was on the edge of my seat with this video. So I was watching one of your videos, it was like 4 or 5 years ago 🤔, it was winter out and you went camping with nothing but a little knife and nothing else except for camera gear but nothing else no blanket, no tarp, no water, oh wait you had your keys which had a small magnesium rod on it but you were able to build something to sleep on and a nice fire, also a firewall to help the heat come your way. The rain only came in from the open pitched end to the west and it was minor spray. The set up did its job but if the winds were any higher definitely would have had to drop it!

Not at all most our snakes here in my area are non poisonous. We do have water moccasins but on have had a few encounters kayaking.

Did you have to do any additional waterproofing to that tarp or was factory waterproofing sufficient? I just bought same tarp for my son.
No that is Factory. I have one of their other tarp to the smaller version it works great as well and I love the reflectix inside!

You should’ve lowered the sides of your tarp down considerably it would’ve kept the rain from blowing in as badly
The rain only came in from the open pitched end to the west and it was minor spray. The set up did its job but if the winds were any higher definitely would have had to drop it!
