This guy deserves more respect! ❤
And some peace too
What a nice guy. Happy he's a Mav. I think he'll contribute a lot in the minutes given.
Holmes is going to have a bounce back year, love that he is just embracing his role. A little different than how we treated Mcgee. Expectations were laid out much better this year than prior years.
He was a fan favorite in Sactown. Really hope he gets his groove back in Dallas
Seems like a great guy! Looking forward to the season.
Very likeable dude! I like his responses! He better start over Powell, seems like he knows his role and will make an impact!
Listening to this interview, I now see what Mark Cuban says about Holmes being the most underrated trade. I like that he fully understands the role that’s expected of him. I think him & DL2 will be really up to contribute straight from the get-go. I don’t expect 6MOY from Holmes, but certainly an important role player to give a different dynamic in offence & defence than Powell.
Spoken like a true professional, kudos to Richaun
Richaun got Issac to admit rebounds are important! Trade was worth it now.
If Kidd is willing to give Lively a chance, I'm optimistic Holmes will get his chances too. Here's hoping he can bounce back. 🙂
I'm guessing Holmes will actually solidify himself as the starter for this season.
I like Holmes. Absolute correct answer about starting, too. So different from the big who thought too much of himself and isn't here anymore.
Just about to say the same thing. Very refreshing.
Javale McGee thinking he should've been starting over Dwight Powell when Dallas' biggest problem last year was not having enough size & rim protection was him thinking too much of himself? 😂 yeah ok & that's still a problem, 2nd Round exits at best
@@meezysquad wasn't referring to Mcgee, but since we're on the subject, yeah, once it became obvious that McGee couldn't help the team at this while still doing the other things necessary of a starting center in the Mavs system, he needed to get off of starting, and, to his credit, he did, as far as we know. But there was another player last season who thought he was starting (even after Kidd had said he was coming off the bench) and could not accept his role on the team last season, and I'm not saying it's the reason they missed the playoffs, but having to deal with that somebody's incessant whining about not getting enough minutes or touches helped make an intolerable situation hell. Say what you want about Powell, he's never questioned his role on the team or argued about minutes or touches.
Holmes gonna helps us out a lot this year 💯
Good interview 💯 i think he's a great fit for the team
Exiting season coming up. Can’t wait to see Hardy evolve and become the MAN.
Man, I really love this guy. I hope he does well here
What a nice fella
that jason kidd impression while funny as hell, kinda revealed some things. i’m sure a certain former big we had did not like being called out in the film room.
It's interesting, when you listen to the players talk about Kidd, you can tell they respect him and also like him. I think Wood and McGee effed up their chemistry last season.
I'm impressed with all the new guys. Even the rooks seem to be mature, and all seem to have a high basketball IQ. Lookin' forward to this year. GO MAVS!
What a guy
Excited for him on the team
I hope this guy crushes expectations seems like a great guy. Please Kidd, give him Powell's minutes and let Dwight just be a mentor and 10-14 mpg lol.
Go get your first championship and get some peace and positive energy off the court
Despite injury especially the ex-wife drama
I said all along I thought Holmes would solidify himself as the starter for this season. Now it's sounding like maybe it will be Lively, but I still think people are sleeping on Holmes at least overtaking Dwight on the depth chart.
I dont really care about who starts tbh, it’s all about who will end games. I believe Holmes may not always start, but he should finish games. I dont think D live will be a monster center till maybe year 3, possibly late 2.
Don’t get it twisted though, if Dlively solidifies himself into the starting C role id be very happy with that! So excited for this next season to start
Kidd has to give him many more opportunities than McGee before. So much as Powell and I believe Holmes can be a much better Mavs center.
I'm enjoying these interviews, but please stop asking the players about Luka. That has to get old to these guys.
Agreed. At a certain point it begins to become obnoxious.
