Great informative commentary Silv! Great background and knowledge, would never expect anything less from you! Applause going out to the coaster creator as well for their HEIDI coaster build!
This looks awesome, I am so surprised that there even is a Heidi themed ride, and that it's in Belgium of all places! ;) As someone from Switzerland I am still disgusted that my home country has not a single decent amusement park, never mind a roller coaster! How well this would fit into good old Switzerland, ah well, at least we make half of all these coasters haha! ;) But yeah, awesome creation, especially since it's your first one! Love the detail in the buildings and how varied they are while still keeping the same feel and theme, really well done! Great work! ;) And lovely hearing Silvarret finally going on a full blown coaster-nerd rant for PlanCo Spotlights, how we've missed that! ;)
ACKCHYUALLY! The first thing was the 1974 anime series (not movie) by Iasao Takahata and Miyazaki, that was based in the book by famous swiss author Johanna Spyri, and yeah, this was before Studio Ghibli (1985) when they worked in Nippon Animation. I suppose the new 3d movie based on the same designs as the anime is pretty bad from the parts ive seen and made by some european animation studio (same as Maya the bee 3d version based on the original anime). The original Heidi anime was pretty great, I remember watching one of the multiple reruns airing in spain since 1975 before going to school. Heidi, Marco (from the same studio) and Mazinger Z were the first animes that aired in Spain, basically being "your father's anime" here lol The coaster recreation, of course, looks lovely, excellent work by Mikee!
Read the book many times when I a child, but never saw the series or movie. Silv confused me a little, as his explanation got me thinking that the ride was referencing to some other anime Heidi and not the Swiss Heidi story I know. Thanks for clearing that up @SPRidley :)
And the old earworm is back: Holdariooo! Holadioo! Heidi Heidi Deine Welt sind die Berge! Heidi Heidi Denn hier oben bist du Zuhaus! Dunkle Tannen, grüne Wiesen im Sonnenschein. Heidi Heidi Brauchst du zum glücklich sein! Holalahidi, Holalahidi, Holalahidi, Holalahidi, Holalahidi, Holalahidi, Holalahidi, Holalahidi, Holaladiadiadiadiahooo! Heidi, Heidi Komm nach Haus, Find dein Glück, Komm doch wieder zurück!

Putting windows in an archway to make a glass wall is something I never thought of, I'm going to have start using that.
