I only watched Telltale's Batman this week... I never liked any Batman media, so I assumed this would just be the same thing... but holy shit, these EMOTIONS! I finally understand how Batman and Joker can be so, so fascinating! (And gay, but I'm surprised at how many people still resist the idea) And your gmvs are pure GOLD, how you entangle it all in one (both paths, vigilante and villain) , into an emotionally and conceptually cohesive piece of storytelling... I LOVE LOVE LOVE. Can't deal how much they amplify the story I just watched . Thank you for making these so much!!

Telltale made it official that John had feelings for Bruce but not the other way around. BatJokes has a high fanbase tho. I always just say: Well Joker was written as a gay person 84th years ago. Times were different back than so they change a lot things and censored some comics later, cuz him being gay was a huge issue. Or being gay at all. There are a lot people saying he would be asexual or something like that. It's a whole story of it's own. For me personal I would rate him as bisexual, if it even matter at all =) I love this Joker version of John cuz of the whole psychological aspect etc =) Edit: But I liked the point they brought up again with John have feelings for Bats/Bruce, but not the other way around. Cuz that's actually how it ever was in a lot versions.

And I was surprised to see how that's still so shocking to so many fans, no wonder they couldn't go more open with Bruce, so he has to stay "not engaging" in Joker's gay provocations. Still, watching their moments, it's always clear when animators are on board with such ideas, and I was just happy to see Bruce just so much more soft than the one I saw in dark, gritty movies. He might not explicitly say "love" himself, but when he says "You broke my heart" and Joker replies "If you really loved me", it's like, yeah, this is basically that. I'm just happy the world slowly progresses, and well, whether it's labeled correctly or not, the heart underneath remains and communicates stories with us all, which resonate! @@Dares9 Well I'm completely open minded about this, but Bruce or Bats mostly really have no feelings for Joker. Their relationship is really complex and complicated. But one thing about Bruce plays a part in this. To explain it cuz you haven't seen or read much media yet. Bruce has a huge psychological aspect. There is a difference between Bruce and Batman. No matter how strong he plays his role, inside he is more than broken. He has his role of not killing and if he does, than there is in one way no turning back for him. Bruce is someone who thinks there is a chance for redemption and healing for everyone, no matter how much things that person does. This works for a lot villains, but not for Joker. Joker is pretty broken inside too. No matter which version and which past Joker has, he is someone who don't wanna go back. He don't wanna become a normal person again, cuz this doesn't work for him. Joker is some sort of symbol that shows where every human being can end. He is exactly what everyone can become, if you have nothing left to lose. Joker tries to hold a mirror to the face of society. So both are symbols. Batman and Joker. They're two sides of the same coin. They have a really strong relationship. Joker wanna make Batman fall, let him become insane like himself. Cuz if he does he proof his point of that everyone can become insane with just one bad day. Batman hopes there is still sort of healing for Joker, even if he actually knows there isn't. Cuz u can't help a person who doesn't want help. Plus in a lot versions Joker is one of Batmans greatest failures cuz he couldn't save him from falling into the chemicals, what gave him the look he has today. Joker has sure more feelings for Bats, he doesn't even deny it. (u can see it in a lot comic versions) but there isn't anything romantic from Bruce side. His bond to Joker is psychological. But all in all they still have a strong connection =) I can recommend to you to read the still ongoing Batman comic of 2016. It's just named Batman 2016 or search after Batman Rebirth. They gave a huge look to his psyche and Joker plays a huge role in some parts of that story too. This probably helps to understand Bruce better =) I also can recommend the animated movie "The Killing Joke". Well the first half of the movie is.... well just strange.... but the second half which is comic accurate, is really good =)
