    ATTENTION: I'm aware of the typo in this video, but unfortunately there is nothing I can do to edit it.
    R4 is written 3 times (once correctly and 2 incorrectly). All the instructions are correct but because I forgot to change the row number twice, the pattern after R4 is 2 rows off. So when I say R5, its actually R7 and so on. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for watching 😊

    For those who's yarn is too soft and their hat is floppy, it can still be revived! Just buy some fabric stiffening spray (or Google how to make it yourself at home), lay down some newspaper or something to protect your flat working surface, find a bowl that's the same size as the dome of the hat, place it upside down on your working surface, then place the hat over the bowl so that the bowl supports the dome shape of the hat, and spray the f*** out of it. Or you can unscrew the cap of the spray, pour the liquid in a separate bowl, dip your hat in the liquid until it's evenly soaked, then wring out the excess, and place it over the support bowl. Make sure the brim of the hat is laying flat on your working surface. Once it's dry, it should be stiff! The soaking method will make it extra stiff. And if you're impatient, you can dry it with a hair dryer (maintaining 6 in. distance). You're welcome 😉.

      I don't at the moment but perhaps your yarn is thicker than the kind I used. If you're making one that's a women's size, just stop increasing when your circle diameter reaches 5.5-6 inches then jump ahead to R8-16 of the pattern :)

      @@basicstitchcolorado Hello, I love your video, I'm new to crochet. So the total of the numbers is what counts. I was counting it every two turns of the hole, for example, the first time I counted 1 and 2, then I went to another hole and counted 3 and 4, and so on until completing the number that you say in the video depending on the line.

    • @basicstitchcolorado
      @basicstitchcolorado  Год назад +1

      @@romerojenelle9386 Well 8-16 are your regular rows (no inc or dec) so it should remain the same size of 5.5-6 inches, but it will be about 4 inches tall. If it's for a boy's head, I recommend doing at least another row of incs before doing the regular rows.
      The brim is about 3 inches wide :)

    • @basicstitchcolorado
      @basicstitchcolorado  11 месяцев назад

      R3 is making a hdc in the first stitch, then an increase in the next stitch. You repeat that sequence all the way around and go from 20 stitches to 30. Each row increases by 10 😊
