Rescued wild scarlet macaw chick cared for in La Moskitia Honduras

Anayda Panting, the Codirector of the Rescue and Liberation Center of La Moskitia is feeding a diet of beans, rice, and dog food to a rescued wild scarlet tmacaw chick of about 7 weeks of age. This bird will be cared for until it has grown sufficiently mature to be released back into the wild, which this bird was. Currently the bird is flying free over the forests of La Moskitia. This Liberation Center is in Mabita, an indigenous village far from easy resources and electricity, but still the local people find ways to share their lives and food with the wild parrots.
